First off, I would give five stars if it wasn’t for one reason (more on that in a minute) and am rating two stars only to possibly get attention from Management / owners. My entire family loves going here when everyone is in town. It is one of those rare places that everyone agrees on. BBQ is great, especially the turkey and the ribs. One issue, though. A friend recommended the burger a while back and we tried it and it was honestly one of the top 5 burgers I have ever eaten anywhere. That is saying a lot because I have had some great burgers all over the world. The burger tasted like it was made fresh from local meats and one like you would make on your grill at home. SO GOOD!!! Recently, when ordering the burger, something was different, but we chalked it up to maybe it was a one-time glitch. That glitch continued for several visits after that, though - with the flat, frozen tasting patty reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. We had dinner there recently and asked whether the recipe had changed and sure enough, it was confirmed. Rib Country, if you read this - please bring back the old burger!

Update: I heard back from Rib Country so I am updating the rating to 5 stars. I do wish they would consider bringing back their delicious old version burger in the future. Until then, I cannot recommend that menu item but everything else I have eaten there...

We arrived at 7pm and ordered our food within minutes of being seated. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Our server Elijah was friendly and attentive, he apologized to us several times for the delay in getting our food. There wasn't very many customers, maybe 5 tables so the kitchen could not have been overwhelmed with orders. I ordered a feast platter that had a small portion of all of their BBQ selections. When my food arrived all of the meats were cold and the other people in my party said the same. The baby back ribs were tender and fall off the bone with good flavor but not hot, the pulled pork was rather dry and bland and again not hot, the brisket had decent flavor but was tough and chewy, maybe would have been better if it had been served hot. The leg quarter chicken was also cold and bloody in the middle so I didn't eat much of that. The coleslaw was spot on, nice crisp veggies and tangy sauce. The beans were the hottest thing on the plate with great flavor but the beans were a bit undercooked. Overhearing the table next to us voicing the same complaints to their server and not getting a resolution we decided that we would just pay the...

We love barbecue and were excited to try this place just 3 days ago. When we walked in, we stood waiting to be seated for almost 10 full minutes. And to clarify we were the only ones waiting. There were tables clearly open and available, but the two teenage girls working didn't acknowledge our existence. Not a 'hi, will be right with you', nothing. Each even came up to the hostess kiosk twice to return menus, still not saying a word. Finally one sat us. As plusses, the food was good and served quickly. We were sat close to the kitchen and it was obvious from watching the interaction between the servers and the kitchen staff who kept coming out, that the entire establishment is being run by 17-year-olds. I will say the one who served us was actually very cheerful once we were seated. But the other had a permanent sour expression and spent the entire time pacing back and forth looking irritated. After reading all the other reviews on service from this place, I'm not sure what the management thinks happens when this is how customers are...

I visited this establishment during the summer time while visiting Murphy, NC. I have pictured the Onion Loaf. In addition, my significant other and I split a rack of ribs. In all honesty, we thought that it was just ok. The Onion Loaf was fantastic! It was similar to onion rings but in loaf form. I would highly recommend this. Do mind that it is quite large and will feed many people. The ribs were not that great. The meat did not fall off the bone and the flavor just was not there. I did like the atmosphere of this restaurant. For example, there was no silverware at tables but rather paper towels!

We came here expecting some good BBQ and our expectations were exceeded. All of the 5 star reviews are worth the hype. We went big and got the shared plate for two which had a bit of each meat and 6 sides. YES 6 sides!! The garlic Texas toast was delicious with some pulled pork. The fries dipped into the sweet potato dressing is amazing. Better than on the sweet potato. I’m not usually a bean person but oh boy...they made me change my mind. The service is great. Our server was super sweet and southern. You can’t go wrong here!! Wish we had enough room for dessert, but we finished our plate.
