The name is misleading because it's so much more than tamales. I haven't even tried the breakfast tacos yet because I keep getting stuck on the five ingredient breakfast burritos. One is enough to fill me up. I highly suggest calling before you go here because it's a small scale operation with no dine in and one outdoor table. This is a Vietnam Veteran putting out good stuff and he deserves our support. Ask about any specials he might have when you call. I got a lunch special that included one dozen tamales, with 16 ounce portions of rice, beans, and chili.

We stopped at this tamales stand leaving Randolph AFB. Hubby got a big ole breakfast burrito that did not disappoint and my aunt and I got some chorizo breakfast tacos which were honestly really good portions for the price (3x 5.75). Chris was nice enough to throw in some tamales for us to sample and they were delicious with the salsa. He was so friendly too. I definitely recommend!

This place is amazing. Tamales are fresh and 😋 delicious. Mr. Chris (the owner) is very friendly and polite. He is very proud of his job. He makes you feel welcome every time. He always gas smiles, and he wants to make sure the customers are happy. We enjoy eating there. We recommend this place 100%.

Horrible service. I placed a pre-order for four dozen tamales and gave a time when I’d be able to pick up. I was never asked to pay for them at the time of the order. On the day of pickup, I received a call at 1000 (two hours before I said I could pick up) asking for pre-payment or else they would get sold. I missed the call because I was at a pet adoption center volunteering until 1100 (hence the 1200 pickup time). When I tried calling back, I got no answer so left a voice mail that I was on my way and to call me if they were already sold. On the way over, never received a call, just a text saying they were sold out, which I didn’t get until I got there. This is not how you treat...

Awesome owners were so friendly and nice. We got a dozen of the tamales- half with jalapeño and half without. They had a nice flavor but were a bit light on the meat filling. We both had a carne guisado taca and I also had the chorizo egg and potato taco. The carne guisada was sooo good. Great flavor and very tender. The chorizo egg and potato taco was also delicious. The only drawback was the flour tortillas. They seemed store bought … which is fine … except I’d recommend going with H‑E‑B tortillas or something similar. I definitely recommend you give this...
