A couple of weeks ago was the first time that I'd been to Turkeyville since I was a child. I had been looking forward to revisiting this place for a long time. And it definitely did not disappoint.
The place is located right on a farm off of the highway. And that's one of the coolest parts about visiting. You get to see all of the old pictures and farming memorabilia from back in the day. There is also a gift shop and a spot where they sell ice cream and other desserts.
As for the dinner, I ordered the turkey dinner, which consisted of turkey, dressing and mashed potatos. It was all smothered in gravy as well. The quality of the turkey was excellent. It was soft and tender. It was also served with cranberries and cole slaw. The cole slaw is vinegar based by the way. I also took a smoked turkey sandwich home and while it was not too flavorfull, the meat quality, much like the dinner, was very good. It is all cafeteria style too.
I think that it would be very cool to come here during autumn, when the pumpkin patches and haunted hay rides are happening. And also during Thanksgiving of course would probably be an ideal time to visit. The place seems to have a lot of activities for kids.
Overall, this was terrific a experience. The turkey was great and It was also very cool reliving some of my childhood memories. There are quite a few activities and events throughout the year that may be worth checking out. This place has more to offer than just a turkey...
Read moreFirst time there. No idea what to rate this. It's named Turkeyville and they serve turkey stuff. Turkey dinners, turkey sandwiches, turkey salads, and turkey pot pie. If you want prime rib go somewhere else. One orders cafeteria style, the wait person calls the order to the kitchen and you move down the line past the slices of pie (you want the pie trust me on this). By the time you get to the cashier your meal is on a tray waiting for you. The turkey dinner was good, served with mashed potatoes, dressing, turkey, gravy, coleslaw, and a dab of cranberries. Sides can be ordered, but the dinner was enough in itself. The pie choices are creamed pies and fruit pies and they are excellent. Cost $30.40 for pie and dinner for two (we had water to drink). A bargain. Plastic cutlery, plates, and tray. They will assist carrying the trays to the table, and the customers buss their own tables. This is not fancy, but well done. The food is good, the staff friendly, the environment clean, and a turkey motif is carried throughout the estsblishment. Save a little room for a stop at the ice cream parlour. There is of course a gift shop with the appropriate turkey themed items, food, and clothing. If you have children or grandchildren the money saved on dinner can be left in the toy section of the gift shop. Overall it is a pleasant experience. Great example of...
Read moreCromwell‘s inner Theatre Joseph in the amazing technicolor Dreamcoat is one of the best live theater productions I have ever witnessed. The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical was performed at such a higher level that even Donny Osmond would be jealous of this group. I think they’re humor this design of the stage, their harmony, their dance skills, the musicians, the set design and the use of lights and color. Unbelievable. Do not miss this performance. It is better I believe in Broadway. It was for life theater. This was exceptional.
The menu is a delicious turkey dinner and every type of food that you had to choose from the buffet was absolutely delicious and I will tell you their apple crisp is to die for better than the ice cream better than any coconut pie that they had offered, but you have to get the apple fridge and don’t forget the cranberry sauce, gravy, beans, squash unbelievable
A note to Dexter producer, you hit a grand such a perfect kiss that took every part of their roles and that just made it an exceptional performance. I personally cave standing ovation, and I’m sad that the other members of the audience nicely but I believe this performance with the total concept and energy that is put into...
