Y'all let me tell you about Doc's Coffee + Creamery's amazing customer service. I'd been wanting to go for a few weeks because of all of the sugar-free flavoring options. Well, Saturday my dumb@$$ ordered online and instead of going in the direction I'm pretty sure Pickle's Gap Village is in (still pretty new to Conway), I let the all mighty Google take me...all over Mayflower.
In a circle. Twice.
Needless to say, our two frozen coffees were well melted before we were even back on the right track. Lovely lady called me to make sure I was still coming, and I explained the situation. I was in Mayflower on some backwoods road barely wide enough for one car blocked in by a semi trying to do only God knows what. She starts by apologizing profusely, informing me that they've been working with Google to correct the issue, and then tells me she's refunding my order and will make my coffee fresh when I get there. I told her it is absolutely not their fault that I put my blind trust in the Google overlord when I knew better.
We get there, and not only have they refunded my order and made us fresh coffees, but they also hand us three of their loaf slices (cinnamon streusel, lemon, and something like confetti cake). I told them again this wasn't even remotely their fault, because it wasn't. Coffee was delicious and the loaf slice that I claimed, the cinnamon streusel, was BOMB. Read moreWent here on a Saturday morning with my fiancé for a morning coffee date. We had been wanting to try this. We ordered 2 fairly simple lattes. There was only one man who ordered before us and the place was pretty empty. 10 minutes passed and the man before us got his food and coffee. Nothing for us yet. I figured it was just taking a bit because they were cooking his food first. Another 10-15 minutes passed before we got our two simple drinks.
During this time I saw the FIVE STAFF MEMBERS behind the counter standing around talking, sipping on their personal drinks, eating their food and heard one girl saying “check out this picture of my tan” meaning she’s on her phone. I normally don’t care about staff doing that IF customers are being taken care of. Our order should’ve taken 5 minutes tops as someone who has worked in a coffee shop before.
To add insult to injury, several people came in about 10 minutes AFTER we had ordered and a few of them got their orders when we got ours.
We wanted to like this place and will give it a second shot later on in case this was a one off experience, but we were very disappointed. There needs to be better direction and...
Read moreDebated on posting this for so long, because I really hate to be “that” person, I just wanted to bring this up to management, just so there might could be a change. I have been here a handful of times and gotten the draft latte every time and have had pretty much the same experience every time. My friend has been here multiple times during grad school to study and has also gotten the draft latte, she is the one who actually recommended it to me. I’m aware of the nitrogen infused nature of the coffee, but for the coffee to look like this even after I haven’t taken a single sip of it yet, probably means it is not made correctly. I just wouldn’t want to pay $5 for half a cup of coffee. I brought it up to the counter to show the staff and they were extremely nice about it and even offered to fill my cup up with more of the draft latte. They did say that for some reason it is coming out thicker today. Like I said I really hate to be this person, but all I wanted to do was bring awareness to the issue!
