Frye's Store — Restaurant in Conway

I'm gonna start with the amazing smell coming from out back of the restaurant. I was working next door at the town hall, came out and it hooked me. As soon as I enter, gentleman says hi and asks how I was, not just what can I sell you...refreshing. I ordered a steak and cheese sub. The gentleman who I believe to be the owner but was rude and didn't ask, took my order and went out to make it himself....huge plus to see owners helping out. While he was cooking he was singing along to the radio with his coworker while she was making up deserts. Very calm easy going feel to it all. So I get the sub, go out yo my truck and open it up. The roll is extremely fresh, the steak is a high quality meat for sure, flavor was awesome and it is ridiculously tender. They did a great job. To top it all off, I got a large steak and cheese sub including the 9% prep food tax for under $12!!! Crazy. I can't wait yo try their pizza. If you are anywhere around the Conway, ossipee, or surrounding area, do yourself a favor and stop in. High quality, great tasting food, for an actual reasonable price. I'd be remiss had I not changed this review to a more accurate rating. I must change it due to several recent lack luster and subpar visits.

The food is good and that's the only reason they get a 2 star. The staff is rude and extremely incompetent. If I was the owner I'd clear house without hesitation. They consistently screw up orders and act like it's your fault when you correct them once you realize everything is incorrect. They've overcharged me twice and gave me a huge hassle when refunding or making it right.

The girl who looks like she's 9 and weighs maybe 80lbs is horrible and should be the last person handling customers. She needs some remedial training or maybe something with less communication involved, maybe a flagger or fishing prop position for her?

I generally steer away from writing negative disparaging reviews unless absolutely necessary, and this case fits the circumstance. I've given at least 3 chances before doing this. I hope the owner will read this review, and possibly address the issues...

Five of us came as a group and ordered 5 basic sandwiches. They made all of our food completely out of order, two of us waited an hour and 15 minutes for a burger and chicken parm (takes literally 5 min to make). I noticed it was mildly busy, just a usual lunch rush but they gave us no warning of a wait and didn't give any care that we waited that long at all. It was frustrating enough I actually took the time to post this. The lady cooking in the back was yelling at the cashier and was also making fun of her loudly for losing the food for an order. Entirely unprofessional service and the food was acceptable but nothing really worth...
