I try hard to not post anything that is negative, but I am finding it hard not to say something about my experience at Main Street Bar in Mocanaqua. We decided to go out tonight for our Valentine's dinner and decide to try Main Street Bar as I have not been back since the new owners took it over. All I can say is the old owners did a much better job. The service was pretty much nonexistent. My husband and I both had different items. He had chicken parm and the chicken was extremely thick and overcooked. He ate a few bites of the chicken and could not eat anymore. He finished off about half of the pasta but even that had not flavor. I had the seafood broil and swapped out the scallops. The fish and shrimp were cooked alright but lacked any seasoning whatsoever and was swimming in a watery butter. If it was not for the salt and pepper on the table the seafood would have not been eaten. The best parts of the meal were the green beans and salad.

The staff did not care when they were told about our dissatisfaction. We assume it was the manager or owner that finally came over to ask and even she did not care that we were unhappy with our food. We even had to call over to get anyone to come and take our payment for our bill.

Bring back the old owners that actually cared about the satisfaction of their customers and had wait staff that actually...

Went here for an early Valentines dinner to beat the rush the next day and it was pretty empty - a few tables occupied. Server was being trained and there were a few hiccups with what we ordered and initially received but after a wait, it was corrected. The food was a different story. My chicken parm was way too thick, way overcooked and inedible. Ater a few bites and resigned myself to the salad and pasta being my $20 dinner. My wife ordered broiled seafood combo and it was about as bland as you could make it - no seasoning whatsoever. Plus the seafood was swimming in a broth that we were later told was white wine but again, no flavor and the consistency of water which is not what broiled should be. Servers never checked to see how the food was until we were clearly no longer eating. Said the chicken was inedible and my wife commented on hers and received "OK sorry". Manager came by and asked how things were when the bill came and we told her the same - and the response was the same. No adjustment offered, no desert offered, nothing (not that we expected it). Clearly some people like it based on the reviews but with the new ownership, the food is way overpriced for the quality of what you get. Other options in the area . . . suggest trying one of them if you are looking for a...

Wow, what a gem! This restaurant is now under new ownership and it’s a must try! We dined here this evening and everything was perfect, from the money we were cheerfully greeted until we left. My husband had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and coleslaw and it was a perfectly prepared, thick and juicy chop. I had the Atlantic salmon, pan seared with a baked potato and Cole slaw. The salmon was delicious and quite a large filet. Each entree is served word bread with outstanding dipping oil and a fresh salad. We shared a slice of limoncello cake to finish off a perfect meal. The prices are great and the menu offers something for everyone. They have a full service bar and great outdoor dining area. We will most definitely return. Our server was very attentive and engaging. The owner also spent a good amount of time chatting with us and excitedly shared new menu items coming with us. I wish I took pics but, you’ll just have to take my word for how perfect...

This place is a hidden gem. I've been to several "high-end" restaurants in my life, from downtown Philadelphia to Ashland Kentucky, and believe me when I tell you, this place puts them all to shame. High-quality drinks, food, and service for a very, inexpensive price. The owner, Christine, was awesome. Her mom was great, and the wait staff was highly attentive and professional. Hats off to the chef(s) for their attention to detail and skill to their craft in preparing made to order meals. If you are ever in the area, you MUST check this place out. You will not regret it. I'm looking forward to going back ASAP.

First time here 4 years ago under other management was the worse experience ever, However under new management the food was excellent cannot wave high enough on the food quality. However the waitress was nice but not very good, more interested in her phone, another problem was it took over an hour to get our food and the appetizer came out about 5 minutes before the entrées. Another thing make reservation's before going to ensure that there is a seat available for your part, and one more thing the owner is very good and checks on the customers, will try it again maybe on not such a busy evening.

We visited a while ago after ownership changed and the restaurant was clearly working some things out. Food was great but service was spotty and the kitchen had some timing issues. I’m so glad we went back though. After watching the train 🚂 rumble by we had a wonderful meal. Steak was cooked perfectly, scallops were excellent and the lobster Mac and cheese was awesome. Great cocktails, beer selection, and kids options. The service was great. Prices were shockingly low but the quality was outstanding. We will definitely return!
