Checkers Cookeville — Restaurant in Cookeville

I've always loved Checker's/Rally's food. I moved here to the Putnam County area back in 2012 and was hoping they would get one out here and they finally did. The food is still just as good as it was back then when I lived in Memphis, especially the seasoned fries! I couldn't go when they had their Grand Opening because of the line being so long. Today, it was pretty much empty in the drive thru.

I like how they have the robot taking orders at the speaker while the workers inside do the other part to keep the process moving quicker. They really thought this through with Checker's from the last time I've been to one which was in Memphis back in 2012 and once on my way from job training in Georgia back in 2018. I love this place and I love the food even more!

I'll definitely have Checker's on my list for fast food often now! I don't have to wait until I go to Nashville anymore now. The workers at the window were very respectful and made sure that everything was right with our order before we got it and before we left.

On Saturday night 8 PM April 12 , 2025 we ordered,we drove around to the window. The girl rang up the wrong order ,when we proceeded to tell her we think this is the wrong order. She refunded the money without asking us to refund it and said we’ve sent you the money back which will take 3 to 5 days And you will have to place another order. We explained to her that they messed it up and we were not going to repay for another order and wait for our money to be replaced back onto the card and she said there’s nothing I can do. That’s not my problem. I proceeded to ask her for her district manager’s phone number and she said I I can’t give you their number. You’ll just have to call back tomorrow and hope that you can Catch them .Needless to say she was very rude and we will never be back there again. If you are the one to mess up an order, you should be the one to make it right not...

Incredibly unreliable service. Frequently they completely forget about you. Last time the woman at the window counter forgot about my order for an hour and served everyone else who went ahead of me despite asking repeatedly, and eventually the manager had to bring me my food. He said they'd refund me which I appreciated, but that was almost two months ago and I still haven't been refunded despite calling repeatedly.

When I was initially ordering it was late at night and the lot was completely empty, and it took several minutes of waiting by the window and several other employees pointing me out to the window woman before she took my order. When she did she asked "What order are you waiting on?" and I probably should have been concerned then because she was already expecting a customer complaint before I'd even arrived, but I continued to order anyway....
