Jenna’s Tattooed Confections — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

From St Louis visiting my other half who is working here right now Heard a little about this place last night when I got here. Decided I wanted to check it out since I’m literally staying right around the corner. Googled it to see if they had a online menu…thumbs done, they don’t. Only pictures but no descriptions, no prices. So ok I found them on Facebook. Same…no actually menu. Nothing informative. Not very impressive. Well I went anyway bcuz I wanted a coffee and a dessert for later and brunch for now Got there. Cashier was NOT friendly. Looked like she had no idea what was going on. I tried to tell her this same info I’m leaving here and she was just spaced out. I ordered my coffee and then said I was hungry. She then told me kitchen was closed. Didn’t tell me why. So I asked if I could just purchase two danish’s from the case. Of course I can. But she wouldn’t even get me anything to put them in. Like really. My coffee was half coffee and half “foam”…..I wanted coffee with espresso pretty bad so I won’t complain to much about not getting a full cup. Oh nothing in the store has prices or sizes or any info either. 2 danish slices and small/medium (depending on where u normally get coffee) was $10 plus BTW: kitchen was closed due to someone (I believe the owner) being behind on making cakes. At least that’s what the unfriendly spaced out cashier told the next customer. He said ok then I’ll go somewhere else. Not impressed at all. Reviews and website and store need some current...

I tried this coffee shop because I like to support small bussiness but I was very disappointed. I thought there would be baked goods I could take to work with me but there was just a few assorted muffins and a few very small cinnamon rolls. Then I ordered 4 drinks and the price on the menu was a lot less than what was rang up. I ended up paying $58 for 4 drinks, 2 muffins and 2 breakfast burritos. I expect to pay more from a small cafe but that was a shock. I added all the same items in my starbucks app and it came to $48. The 2 cashiers could not answer any questions I had as if the owner didn't train them just left them in charge of her store. I didn't feel it was fair to argue pricing with them so I paid and left and will never be back. I have known Miss Jen for a few years now and let me first say she is one of the kindest people you will EVER meet. She is genuinely amazing! She has always had a ear to listen a hug to give or a prayer to have with you if you need it. Her cakes always are beyond beautiful and her baking legit beyond par with anything I've ever had! She makes wonderful coffee and smoothies and the varieties she offers. She even asks how you want your coffee smoothie anything and NAILS it every time!!!
