Food was great, but service was abysmal. Made a reservation, still had to wait 30+ minutes for a table, Hostess was totally unhelpful and all she had to offer was, "Would you like to speak to a manager?" We sat at the bar to wait for our buzzer to go off (reminder: We had a reservation) and it took 10 minutes to get the Bartender's attention. There were actually 2 people behind the bar, washing glasses, chatting with other staff and customers, not serving drinks, and yet it took 10 minutes for them to notice that 4 people had sat down. Right after being told by the hostess that it would be an additional 35 minutes (making it 50 minutes since our reservation time) our buzzer suddenly went off and we were seated, thankfully. Once we hit the dining room the experience was ok, our service was friendly and the food was great. It didn't outweigh the unprofessional initial experience leading up to it, though.
We were so excited to try a new place nearby but they have missed the mark on many things. Leading up to this reservation we had received a coupon in the mail, it expired 2 days before we went to use it and they wouldn't honor it - the coupon was to entice new customers to try out a new restaurant - I do understand expiration dates but 2 days? Make an exception when we already had a less than pleasant experience. I attempted to contact them via their Facebook (which they actively post on) asking about Veteran's Day specials and a variety of other things. They regularly read the messages but didn't reply - why have an active social media page if you aren't going to communicate with your customers?
If I could break up the ratings I would give 1 star for service/professionalism and 3/4 stars...
Read moreIt was our friend's birthday on Saturday so we planned to take her out to dinner and have a good time. She made the reservations online for 7:15 P.M and under special instructions, she asked to be seated on the patio.
My wife and I showed up at 6:45 and asked if our party had shown up yet. I assumed that our reservations would be on the patio, so my wife and I went to the bar to have some drinks while waiting for our friends.
Our friends arrived at 7:15 and they went to the hostess stand and the two ladies there said that patio seating was first come/first serve. Our friends came to the bar. I went to the hostess stand and them why we could not get patio seating since we were there at 6:45 and people who showed up after my wife and I were being seated on the patio. I was told I did not let them know we wanted patio seating. I mentioned to them that my friend made the reservations and asked for patio seating in the special instructions.
I was pissed off. I got on the phone and called Bueno Sera and made reservations for their patio seating for 8:30. Right before we were going to leave the hostess came up and told us the patio had opened up and I told her, "no thank you, we made reservations at Bueno Sera."
If they are going to take online reservations and you have a section called "special instructions," then MAYBE THEY COULD READ THESE WHEN WE TAKE THE TIME TO TYPE THEM INTO THEIR SYSTEM. Not only did THEY piss off six people, they made sure we will not go back for a while and we are going to be suggesting other places when we go out to eat.
They should learn to use their online reservation system and they should address the indifference of the hostesses to keep...
Read moreVery dissatisfied with Kendalls. I rented a private room for my sisters 75th Surprise Birthday Party. The reservations were at 3pm on Mothers Day. We assumed we could get into the room by 245 or so to set up decorations for the party. When I got there we were told another party was in the room until 3! How can we have reservations at 3 when someone else is in the room all the way till 3 pm? Wouldn't they tell people 315 to give time for clean up and set up? They gave us the option of setting up in the golf simulator room which was huge. Being we were under pressure to get things set up for the party we took the room. It was at least 320 before anyone came to check on us. I had to go out and ask for menus and our drinks as once we ordered drinks we were waiting for 20 minutes. The waiter seemed disorganized and mentioned at one point" this is why I hate my job". The food was mediocre. Cold entrees, skimping on everything. At the end of it all we were charged a PD Service charge of 22% and a Mothers Day Charge of 18%. It was $160.00 for my husband and I! Also we paid $150.00 for a room we never got to be in!! Poor staffing, as guests arrived they were told no one under my name had reservations. So no communication as to who rented private rooms??? I do not recommend Kendalls at all anymore.
