I reserved the yellow island canopy on 6/14/25 from 3:30-6:30 PM. The day prior, the water park was closed due to weather conditions, according to its website. It was raining. I emailed that day, asking whether the water park would be closed the next day, because light rain was forecasted for that day and if it was, would someone be reaching out to me to reschedule. I received no response and checked all morning on the website whether it would be closed. The night temperature for that day was only going to be 60F, which it clearly stated on the website that the park would close if it doesn't reach 62F. It also clearly stated on the website that only if the park was closed, would there be a reschedule of the canopy and tickets. We ended up going to the water park that day, where literally only another family or two and us were there. After an hour of us being there, I asked a worker why they didn't just close the place down. He said they would have if we didn't show up because another group that had reserved for theirs rescheduled. That surprised me so I went and asked the front why we couldn't have rescheduled our session and asked if the 8 extra tickets we purchased could be used for another day due to some of our people not showing up because of the weather. The manager on duty said we didn't call and if we had done so, they could have accommodated and she couldn't do anything about the extra tickets not used because we did a group booking. Yes, we could have called but where was the human decency to just do the right thing? The water park had first broke their own rule by not closing because of the low temperature. Yet now they couldn't do anything about it, including the 8 tickets unused? We would have left the water park right there, if we could have rescheduled or use those extra tickets for another day but there was no mentioning it from the workers of that possibility. Even the email I had sent the day earlier, the manager said she didn't see it and they have a group of managers that look through the emails and someone may had deleted it on accident. All poor excuses that day, as well as poor communication from the water park staff. With all rules broken from the water park staff, they were still very strict on the kids and adults not being able to be in the warm water by the slide areas, even when we were the only group left at the water park. No accommodations whatsoever. It was very disappointing, to...
Read moreIt was really fun and much larger than I expected! Lots of fun things to do! I was bummed to find out that you had to pay for parking and for admission however, that seemed to be overkill. ($15 for admission and $6 for parking is a lot for a water park).
The park itself was great. Many fantastic attractions. It was very clean and the life guards were friendly. Everyone behaved respectfully too, which is rare these days. I liked that there was an abundance of chairs available (in some parks, it's a challenge to find some)
The wave pool was pretty intense much bigger and stronger waves than I'd ever experienced, having been to lots of wave pools in my life. Was fun for a strong swimmer like me, but if your kids are not strong swimmers, I'd avoid that.
The only real complaint I have is the food line. I wanted to buy water (at a dollar, I thought that was a good deal) but I had to wait in line for nearly 40 minutes. The crazy thing was, there were only 5 people ahead of me. One cashier was working, but when I looked into the window, I counted at least 4 people working in back. I decided to also order a chicken wrap, and while I was waiting it was clear that they waited until someone ordered before even putting the item in to be cooked. I heard a guy tell someone it would take 30 minutes to get their corn dog. It was pretty busy in the park and so one would think they would have some popular items prepared ahead of time to make things go faster ... Next time I'm bringing my own food and water!
Over all I believe I will be coming back to...
Read moreWe visited the campground for a week in June so also visited the water park a few times with various friends and relatives.
Had a better experience than last season. One of the slides was closed, but overall, the lines went very fast and we found chairs to use easily.
Typical water park experience for fun. The lazy river got a little too crowded to enjoy at times due to those that walk and push their way through.
Had a better experience with food service this time, though still pretty inefficient. We ordered pizzas and was told it would be 30-40 min for 3 pizzas. We received a buzzer and went back for it when it was ready. As I picked it up, there was another woman there complaining about hers not being done all the way and was going to have to wait another 20-30 min for a new one. I was happy to see all 3 of our pizzas were cooked and enjoyed by all.
Also had food from the other concessions, the GF bun was fresher this time around and had to wait 25 min for a veggie burger that I had to keep running back to check on until I asked if the could hollar out the side window when it was done. A nice woman delivered it to me but only after my fries blew away in the wind one of the times I got up to check on my burger.
Overpriced food aside with "meh" service, it was a great day we all enjoyed. Our second day with some relatives was less crowded on a Tuesday. We would visit again. Not too crazy at $20 to get in compared to other places. You do have to pay to get into the regional park as well if not staying there or have a...
