Thursday my mom and her friend brought me to lunch here, they had lunched here a couple months ago on a Thursday while in town. They were very excited about $3 burgers! We each built our own and opted for different sides. Our server was very helpful w my mom trying to pick a beer. It wasn't mentioned to us until I asked as we were departing... the popcorn machine is help yourself. She did suggest we take a boat to go, we declined. There is a decent beer selection; busch to several craft selections. I was intrigued by the Apple Bacon Beans side, but opted for tots. I was curious about a bottle of ranch on the tables! Is it that common? The food good, server was great, the ambiance quiet and comfortable and parking was easy. Do I want to say Stockyard is... kitchy....? Maybe.... I liked that the front door was a metal fuel pump handle, there is an antique cabinet in the dining area and the tin lower walls in the bar. It's a fun vibe. I didn't think to take a picture but they grill their burger buns... yum! Thanks Sockyard for a fun and...
Read moreWe spent a long weekend at Quiet Vally Cabins (highly recommend) for our anniversary. We didn't want to cook so for 3 days we got carryout from the stockyard. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything we ordered was amazing. Breakfast was good, the biscuits and gravy were my favorite. They use Italian sausage which gave it a unique and very good flavor. The french toast was also very good. Their specialty burgers were also delicious. We had several of them, my favorite was the black and blue burger. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection, and can rival any fancy statehouse in Milwaukee. All of the food was a good value with large portions. I'd highly recommend eating at The Stockyard while in town. The service was good, people were friendly, and a huge plus for us was that everyone working was wearing masks. The stockyard has a great selection of all very delicious food. We will return here anytime we...
Read moreThe waiter was lovely and kind and kept our coffees and waters filled. The prices were really reasonable. But…We were seated at 10:38 am on Sunday for breakfast. They serve until noon. We waited over an hour to get our food, while others around us came after us and left fully fed and satisfied. We waited patiently as we were a party of 8, knowing large groups take longer. Still waiting, the waiter announced that they were out of pancake batter. Then they announced they were out of wheat toast. I asked for an English muffin instead. By the time our breakfast came, it was 11:58 and my meal was ice cold. I had then had to remind my waiter about my English muffin. Others in our group said they liked their food. I was too hungry to send mine back or say anything. My meal would have been good but it was not even warm. It was cold. Super...
