Review is for online order.
The fudge is good, but I feel like I can't trust an online order from this place after my first experience. I took advantage of their "buy 3 get 1 free" deal going on and decided to try them out. It took less than a week to get to me, which was great, but I found that one of the items was incorrect (got double of one flavor and another was missing).
At this point I contacted them via e-mail and they got back the next day saying they'd send out the replacement, which was very nice, so I replied thanking them and telling them I tried some of the fudge we did get and it was very good (just to keep it casual and nice). Almost 2 weeks later and I sent them another reply as a gentle nudge; just asking them for any kind of tracking number so the fudge doesn't sit out in the mailbox too long and liquify completely. That was 4 days ago and I've gotten no response still, which makes me think they are just ignoring me.
They appear nice and the fudge is good at a fair price, but with the order mix-up and the lack of communication, I just can't bring myself to order from them again. This is why I am leaving a middle/neutral review of 3 stars. I am sure that if you go here in person then it's just fine, but be wary when ordering online.
UPDATE: They did eventually get back to me and did rectify the order. The fudge is really good, so I will probably try them again in the future and hope this was a very rare...
Read moreI may have reviewed this before, but I just love this fudge. I raved about it to my friends on Facebook and I got a surprise Christmas gift delivered a few days before Christmas.
One complaint: it didn't indicate who sent it. I finally found out. It was my son and daughter in law in Shreveport LA. They thought it was their oversight. I didn't care from another standpoint as I am addicted to this fudge!! Oh my.
However, yesterday I learned two kind friends DO EAT SWEETS I am sending them a small portion of the fudge as a thank you. There was no way for me to indicate it was being sent by me. It is supposed to arrive on the 13th, and Valentines day of course is the 14th. In my experience, my orders to my home have arrived earlier than the due date.
So when I'm notified my gift arrived, I will alert my friends to check their front door. Even when they leave their house by car, the front door isn't visible. When ordering from Amazon, as I do, it states there is no way to send as a gift. But it would be nice to say who sent it. There is no way to indicate my address.
Please don't give me any suggestions to have it delivered to my house and take it to them...you can tell it will never make it!!
Oh wait!! I can sneak over to their house and confiscate the package for myself. They will be...
Read moreI wanted something special and memorable for my mom's 96th birthday this week. I remember how we used to buy and share a square or two of fudge whenever we vacationed at the beach, I thought that would be a fun gift. Since we live in different states and can't travel, I went online to hunt down that memory. I came across Valley Fudge & Candy, and that was the best decision I could've made. I ordered 4 kinds for mom last Thursday, and they arrived at her house yesterday (Monday) all the way across the country in 4 days and in perfect shape! Mom was absolutely thrilled when pulling each from the box. She was impressed that each one came with its own little knife, just like the ones we used to share long ago. I was on the phone with mom as the package was opened for her, and enjoyed the thrill in her voice describing what she saw. Best gift ever! Thank you to Linda at Valley Fudge & Candy for helping me give it that...
