We decided to try this place after a bad experience in 2013. This experience was equally as bad, if not worse, than our last attempt. The server was great. We thought she was attentive, thorough, and pleasant. Our family of 3 ordered water for our drinks, which was terrible. It's the worst tasting water we've ever consumed. My daughter, who is 3, said, mommy, this water is yucky. We tried to order fountain drinks to mask the taste. I ordered Pepsi, my daughter wanted lemonade. There was no disguising the taste of the water, probably the ice in this case. So your stuck at a restaurant with Cajun food and can't consume your beverage. Not a good combination. My daughter wanted a plain children's hamburger, no bun, well done. Her burger came out with a piece of cheese on top. The waitress, who did not serve our food, came over to our table as the plate was placed in front of my daughter, said this isn't right, no cheese! The man who served us took the plate to the kitchen and the waitress said she would grab the fries so my daughter could eat them while we waited for a new burger. The same man brought back the plate with the burger and fries on it within a minute. They literally just scraped the cheese off the burger, flipped it over, and served us the same burger with cheese residue all over the hidden side. Not ok with me. There's a reason we ordered the burger without cheese. I cut into the burger and it was medium. Bright pink inside. Not well done. Unacceptable. I ordered a beef filet. It was done the way I ordered it, but there was no flavor. It wasn't salted or seasoned. It definitely wasn't worth $23. The garlic linguini was so overloaded with dried parsley flakes that it was actually crunchy to chew. Awful. My husband ordered the seafood sampler. He loves food. There was nothing he loved about that meal. He said we will not be trying this place again. We gave it a shot and it...

Wow I can't believe the positive reviews for this restaurant. The service is absolutely terrible, and the food is mediocre at best. As we entered the hostess was preoccupied and rude, it seems that she had relatives or friends at one of the tables and that occupied all her time. The waitress was friendly and took our order promptly. I thought things were looking up, about 10 minutes later our first course arrived. We ordered the colossal shrimp and crab meat appraiser, nothing was colossal about it except the price. It consistsed of three shrimp and 5 lumps of canned crab meat with cocktail in a 7-11 type plastic container. The waitress never checked in with us to see how things are going. Next came the salad course, the salad was almost fresh with pretty good dressing. Never saw the waitress again! After an hour we'd had enough and decided to pay for the food mediocre food we'd eaten and just leave. I had to call over the waitress and politely ask her for a check for the food we'd eaten. The (I assume manager) came over and asked what the problem was. I politely explained that we had been there for a long time and we had, had enough. He went on to tell me how busy they were and that they were having trouble keeping up. In total there were 4 other occupied tables. When I pointed this out to him, he immediately got rude and said just go no charge. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE TIME,...

My wife and I had dinner at Marti Gras on Sunday after a visit to Geisinger Med for a 2nd Covid shot . We made a quickie reservation as they got an unusual Sunday evening rush. This was our first visit and we were treated like royalty. The seating was socially distanced and everyone was masked up but for bring seated Our server, Nino, although busy, was over the top friendly and attentive. Perhaps the best server we've had in along time. Cudos! Drinks ( 2 craft beers , a Cosmo and a glass of wine) were reasonably priced. The shrimp and crabmeat cocktail app. was a bit pricey but the shrimp were flavorful and the crabmeat was HUGE ,tasty lumps. Worth the price. Crab Stuffed mushrooms were small but good although not the best I've had or as good as my own at home.

My wife's Honey barbecue blackened seafood sampler was pretty good . I would have tried one of the cajun/creole dishes but I had made a seafood creole at home 2 days before. The special blackened Boston Bluefish called to me and was great as was the red beans and rice as a side. Both of our dinners came with good salads. We split a peanut butter torte for dessert which was rich and not overly sweet. All in all , this is a great place with fine food and TERRIFIC service. The manager visited us several times to check on us and made us feel special. We are sure to be back here to try more of their huge...

Our first visit was on 1/10/2020. Walked in just before 5pm. They don't open till 3pm. Got a table immediately. The waitress (Katelyn) greeted us within a minute of being seated. She took our drink order and suggested the specials. We ordered an appetizer, the Oysters Rockefeller and a bowl of red beans and rice soup. Absolutely delicious! My wife ordered the Seafood Sampler with mashed garlic potatoes and side salad. I had the Mardi Gras Sampler with mashed potatoes and side salad. Both of which were cooked perfectly and tasted incredible! Our waitress did an excellent job taking care of us. Filling our drinks and clearing empty plates. We then shared a slice of heaven dessert called Death By Chocolate. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet. The dining room was clean and the wait staff was very tentative. After an hour the tables started to fill up. Reservations are recommended for larger parties. Prices are reasonable for the meals being purchased. For the area it is nice to have another great restaurant that serves delicious seafood fare and cajun specialties. I totally recommend Seidel's Mardi Gras. We will be going back in the near future.

Hidden Gem! We lived here for 6 years and never went because we thought it was a bar to be honest - never gave it a second look based on outside appearances - we were pleasantly surprised!!! We just returned from New Orleans and this food rivaled (and perhaps exceeded) restaurants we visited there. We had the Tenderloin New Orleans, Sausage Gumbo, Steamed Crawfish, and Jumbalaya. Nothing was disappointing! Hands down - the tenderloin with a crab cake on top was phenomenal. With that said, come prepared that entrees will be $20-$30 each. We went on a very busy night, so we knew up front we would be there a while (and our waitress "Jamie" was up front about that) - but even still, our service was impeccable. She anticipated our needs (and perhaps even things we didn't think of before she thought of them). The owner, Brian, came out, met us, and chatted for a while. Needless to say, we will be back!
