Tejanos Mexican Grill (New) — Restaurant in Cooper

Oh how we wish that there could be more than 5 stars to give this A++ Mexican Grill!!! Do you know how rare it is to find a Mexican restaurant that can dull out outstanding let alone a good Chile Relleno!! The answer is very few and very far in between. But I'm getting ahead of myself, so let's start with the service! Firstly, the entirety of the staff is beyond exceptional! My mother and law had the shrimp with rice and beans, my lovely wife had the Flautas. The chips were perfect, I would change the salsa take it a bit more chunky and the flavor was amazing, but a very minor detail that is exhausted when it comes to everything else! The food, not only well placed and prepared with care! The flavors send an uppercut of delicious flavors to your palette! We have found our forever Mexican food fix with this place, and we will always show them love for the outstanding experience we had! A well oiled and maintained machine of a restaurant with, the best food to offer! Well done ladies...

I can not believe in the 10+ years we've lived in the area we have never visited this place until now!! WOW 🤯 Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Yes yes and YES we will be dining here more often! This place has a smaller setting than most other small town restaurants. However, IT IS very much worth any wait! The food is incredibly flavorful and the portions are more than generous. I can not speak enough about the incredibly friendly and respectful staff! It was like we have been close family and friends all our lives! We have eaten there two days in a row and will return for a third! If you're ever traveling through or even out this way, Tejanos Mexican Grill is a must stop and eat place! The flies drove me insane! The waiter was kind. The drinks were great except the long hair in my three year old son’s foam cup. I had shrimp fajitas the veggies were burned beyond trying to eat. The salsa is unflavored tomatoe water. My husband had beef nachos he said they had good flavor however had to be eaten with a fork due to the grease saturation. The tortillas are store bought not hand made and that is a bleh for me some may think it’s ok I just don’t. Overall I’d say Taco Bell quality food. I’d eat there if I was close and starving maybe. However I’d never choose to go again. I think a deep cleaning is in order and they need to fix the salsa, grease , flies, and generic store tortillas.
