I’ll start off by saying that my experience here is always great, the employees are always polite and the food is excellent! It was a great place to grab a bite with family and at the same time learn so much about the history of Colonel Sanders and his famous Kentucky Fried Chicken. But today, as I was going through the drive-thru, I was ordering my usual order and I was spoke to in a hostile voice by one of the employees. It surprised me because I spoke in a polite tone and I have never had someone talk to me in this tone before! I finished my order and picked up my order and left! Hopefully this employee doesn’t speak to all of the customers like this because it makes me not want to come back to the Corbin KFC. I was shocked by the tone of her voice when I only asked for a small Starry drink, she then proceeds to speak to me in a hostile tone and raises her voice to say “We don’t sell small Coke, only medium or large” I said mam I don’t want a coke then she interrupted me and repeats it again so I tell her I will take a medium Starry drink mam. I didn’t be rude to her even thought she was being rude to me because I know it only makes matters worse. Hopefully this can be resolved! I am ashamed that KFC would hire such a person like this. I feel if you’re going to speak to customers like this then you shouldn’t be working at a fast-food place. I will definitely not be coming back to this...
Read moreThe best thing I can say about this location is, it has a great museum attached to the restaurant., and other memorabilia outside along the parking lot, from the original Sanders Cafe, Motel, and Service Station. It provides a little walk down memory lane while eating mediocre chicken sandwich.
The day I visited. They were not very busy, after the lunch hour. I had not been here since the remodel. I was passing by and decided to stop in and eat lunch. My mistake for thinking they would have changed. Service was decent, food was definitely under par.
I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Where the packaging is just marketing. The packaging states the chicken sandwich is "Fried to Order" and "Freshly Prepared" when I received my sandwich the bun was room temperature and only thing remotely warm was the spicy sauce on the chicken.
The only reason I gave 3 stars is all the memorabilia throughout the restaurant and Museum area.
In my opinion since this location is the location (KFC) "where it all began" I would expect excellent service and food, Not true for me...
Read moreWe arrive at 8:20 and there were atleast 5 staff working. There was approximately 6 - 8 customers while we were there. However - only ONE staff member was taking order and she was also filling ALL orders. When I attempted to fill my drink with tea, I found the tea dispenser at the drink station empty. I returned to the counter to request tea and although two staff members were staninding behind the cooking equipment talking - neither offered to help me. When I went to refill my tea - I was told ALL the tea had been poured out in order to clean the containers. I felt it completely inappropriate to dispense of all tea when the restaurant still had customers and the drive through was still open. Also - having one staff member take orders and the fill them seemed like inappropriate work sharing and caused customers additional wait time.
The chicken was very good but the mashed potatoes presented as poorly prepared instant potatoes. The value for three people was very good
The small museum is unique and our 10 year old niece...
