Carter's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Cordele

Me and my husband and I and my daughter went there last night around maybe a little after 9:00 p.m but they close at 10:00 every night anyway we was in the drive thru so my husband tried calling in the order because no one ever came out to take order then no one wouldn't answer the phone so that we could place our order it was raining so my husband pulled out from the drive thru and went to the front window to place our order. As he was to the window along with several other people plus people in the drive thru the cashier had the nerve to tell m husband the kitchen closed and he got in the car and told me I said how!!.. when all these other people standing around waiting on food and folks in the drive thru I was so mad but my husband said he was gonna reach out to the owne Donna because it was not even near 10:00, for them to refuse to take our order and to top it off last week we went there we stayed in the driv thru 45 minutes 😒 they needs to step up and stop being lazy and slow or people gonna stop going there the food is better now...because the batter on the chicken use...

Upon entering the establishment i saw the iconic chicken on a rocket😍😍 i always loved it as a kid ive been away so long it was great to see it i easily parked in one of the open spots though they had a drive thru thats was moving pretty quickly. I walked up to the register after seeing the big menu and deciding what i want and was greeted very politely. She took my order and made sure she had it right and gave me a reasonable time to wait. When the food was ready i heard her call out my order i picked it up everything was so hot and fresh it smelled delicious she thanked me and asked me to come again which i know i will because the food was perfect and well prepared and the service was just as good. Helpful and fast service. They got my order out super fast. They will provide a menu if you ask. I ordered a side of onion rings and a side of corn nuggets.

The batter on the onion rings wasn't really flavored, so the ketchup they provided was the main flavor aside from the onion itself. The texture was very good though; the batter was light and crispy, and the onions were soft and not stringy.

The corn nuggets were amazing though. The exterior was crispy, and the interior was creamy plus the texture of the whole corn kernels. The flavor was sweet and savory.

I wish I could have tried some of their bakery goods, but they told me they were too short-staffed to make enough recently.
