We love jumpingoat coffee however; you can have a million dollar view and great coffee, but a bad manager and terrible customer service will ruin your business! The staff at the Cleveland store will leave a bad taste on your mouth… Our first stop and taste of jumpingoat coffee was at the Helen store, great coffee and friendly staff! We bought pretty much all flavors and the signature blend is my favorite! We later discovered the location in Cleveland with awesome views, we visited there a couple times as we own a cabin in Sautee and visit Helen few times during the year,; however, it is unfortunate that the manager they hired at the Cleveland store is a scarecrow of customers, unfriendly, with a unpleasant personality.. during our last visit in November, it was 40 degrees out, but we still wanted to drink a nice cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the views, noted we had our dog with us so we could not seat inside as the store is not pet friendly, which we understand and we prefer the outside patio due to the views… (they do allow service dogs); so off we went to the patio with our hot chocolate.. (tables and chairs are metal material which are super cold to seat on) there were about 6 tall patio heaters around the tables outside, and when we turned one of the heaters on for us and a family seated near by with a little girl that was shivering, in just couple minutes the manager came outside and asked my husband to “please shut if off!”, with a very unfriendly demeanor.. his explanation was that “we do not usually turn the heaters on” and when we asked why they had so many if they couldn’t be used? he said “the owner brought it just for an event” and when my husband mentioned the little girl was cold, the manager stated “they can come inside if they are cold”.. so I said how about us with the dog?? anyhow..we were just scratching our heads and thinking why in the world they would invest $$&$ in heaters for customers during an event but let regular clientele be out in the cold? great coffee, beautiful views, but as long as the owners have that manager at that store.. we won’t be visiting it again any time soon.. you can serve the best coffee in the world, but hospitality comes first and your business won’t thrive with...
Read moreSaw a post about the jumping goat coffee on Facebook and thought this is such a great spot to grab a coffee and relax, take in the Mountain View’s! We arrived on a Monday around 4:50. The line wrapped around the interior of the coffee shop. They also offer a variety of mead and beer as well. But the coffee is what we came for. The menu is listed on a chalk board as you wait in line, however even with my 20/20 vision it is very hard to read. Disappointed the fall/seasonal menu wasn’t visible and only saw it after we ordered. They had more options on paper once you are up at the counter to order. But I felt like you should be ready to order once you get to the counter because the line is long. Coffee prices are not cheap. My husband ordered a large frappe, I got a large specialty chai and we got an IBC root beer for my daughter. Totaling around $26 dollars. The coffee itself was good. But we really went for the experience. Which was the biggest disappointment of all. We waited in line for about a half hour, which is fine, but upon receiving our coffee and finding a seat looking at the gorgeous Mountain View’s we were approached by a gentleman (who I believe could have been the owner) and was told they close at 5:30 and they close the gates shortly after, implying we need to be out of there. I looked at my clock which read 5:20. Leaving us rushed to drink our drinks. On top of that he was hustling around grabbing chairs and putting them up. You could tell people felt rushed out of there because it cleared up shortly after he came around to each person to basically kick everyone out. I honestly was taken aback by this, as it completely ruined the experience. If you want everyone out of there by 5:30 when you close, stop serving at 4. Needless to say we found a winery nearby that was open until 7 and had similar views. We won’t be back to this spot unfortunately. Coffee was good but the experience was ruined. We spent good money for the experience, just to...
Read moreThe front desk and other workers were very indifferent when we walked in. We were bit confused about where to go and order. I ordered a shaken espresso with oat milk and asked for less or light ice and the lady at desk outrightly told there is no such thing as light ice for shaken espresso. Then I told her it’s ok just give me with ice. After a while someone just put out a half filled dark drink saying shaken espresso on the side of the main desk and didn’t even call it my name or told me it was my drink (we were standing right there and was wondering whether it’s our drink or not). Then another staff who ignored us and was chatting with other set of customers grabbed this drink and offered to them. And knowing that it’s not their drink she put it back to the original side desk. And all this time I was wondering whether it is my drink or not. Finally the lady who took out orders reluctantly said it was my drink and then I asked where is the ice, then she got really upset and told me that I asked for no ice. Then I told her I asked for less ice and I had agreed to her to add ice in it. With her rolling eyes she just threw few ice cubes into my drink as if I am some cattle or something. And for my fiancée too the coffee was just kept in one corner with creamer. He got really pissed off with the service and we were wondering whether the staff is actually racist. Not sure, why they were irritated with us for simply ordering tasteless coffees. We threw away the coffee as they were not at...
