Yonah Burger is a must-visit spot after conquering the Yonah mountain summit. A group of five of us stopped here for lunch. Opting for the Cheese Burger Delux with fries and drinks, we eagerly anticipated tasting the renowned Yonah burger—until we encountered the French fries, which were overly salty. Upon voicing our concern, the staff promptly replaced them with a less salty batch. Aside from that hiccup, the fries were delightfully crispy and flavorful. The Yonah Burger itself boasted an authentic taste that we all savored. To our surprise, the new owner emerged and apologized for the salty fries, explaining that it was the new cook's first day. Such mishaps on the first day are easily forgiven. We particularly appreciated the new owner's warmth and transparency. Learning about the rich history of Yonah Burger, established in 1968 and carried on for three generations, added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.

We had a little wait for takeout, but you could tell it was freshly made, so it was worth it. If we were eating in, it would be your average wait. I guess I was surprised because there were very few patrons for the length of wait. With kids I was hoping the drive through was open, but there was a car parked in it - unoccupied. Maybe that made it seem longer? Entertaining young kids can be tricky in public. Prices seemed above average for what we got. Portions were good. Again, burger was fresh, super juicy. Fresh toppings. Everyone always messes up my husband’s no onion burger, they did not. Service was polite. Not outgoing, but polite. We’re really easy to upsell if you chat with us about a menu etc. we want to try it what is suggested, if it’s suggested. My gut, no pun intended, wants to say 3/5 for average experience - but the burger was really good!

Overall I'd like to give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly. We did have to wait a little longer for the food, but it was cooked fresh and I could tell. My burger and onion rings were great. The only thing I think is a draw back is the flow at the front check in. It is hard to get refills without feeling line you are cutting in line and the other staff person bringing out food was already very busy keeping up. I think if they moved the fountain drink machine out into the dining area they could alleviate a lot of traffic up at the register and give the staff more efficiency. Just my 2 cents... Love the barn wood and furniture in the dining area as well.

I've been going to yonah Burger from quite some time... anytime I'm out riding through the mountains on my motorcycle and I'm nearby, it's a go to spot. Today was my first visit since they reopened and I was very excited ... And very hungry. I ordered my usual... Bacon double cheeseburger with fries and my girlfriend ordered a single with fries. I was surprised to see the food come out in about 3 or 4 minutes, which immediately raised a red flag. Sure enough, the fries were cold and old (can't really hide an old fry) and the burger patties were barely warmed through and pretty dry. These were obviously sandbagged patties from the lunch rush that were reheated and served to the 3:00 crowd.... and trust me, I've been in the restaurant business.... it's a thing. Burger patties don't cook in under 3 minutes. Anyone remember the grit testimony in My Cousin Vinny? These aren't magical patties. Come on Yonah Burger.... you guys can do better than that. Anyway, I'll be back, but I'm going to make it clear that if I don't have a hot freshly cooked patty with the juice running down my arm and if the fries don't burn my mouth when I try to eat them, I'm going to take it back to the counter and I'm going to ask for my $26 back. I don't mind paying for a good burger, but don't rip me off...

This restaurant was operated for 17 years by one lady! From 2006-2020. She had a great relationship with the owner and agreed on her building out the building at her express. In return the rent would not increase to compensate for the monies spent on said building. This is we’re GREED comes into play. Once the brewery opened up and the strip next door starting budding with better businesses in this great enconomy (thanks to Trump!) the building owner, at that time decided it was time to forget our agreement and inform me that my rent was to increase by 40%!!!! When I tried to explain to him that wasn’t our agreement he claimed he doesn’t remember! Convenient to say the least!! (I have text to back it up!) I told him I wasn’t paying rent on a building I built!! That didn’t seem to matter to him! I suppose when you exchange your integrity for greed everybody looses!! I was sent a final notice in March of 2020 after 17 years of never being a day late or a dollar short that if I didn’t pay their demanded increase in rent that they would lock me out of the building! Keeping in mind Covid had just shut down the dining areas of most restaurants and was doing about a third of my normal business!! What could anyone have done other than succumb the their demand...

Parking: I'm not even sure if there's an actual parking lot or an unmarked area that happens to be in front of their building. Ordering: two giant monitors with a very basic selection which is fine but of the sides listed, there is a hand written sign taped to the register stating half of them are no longer served. Food: The turkey burger tasted like a frozen grocery store patty that was microwaved because the center still had frozen crystals and it was rubbery. My burger was just ok: too much bun and no tomato (I love a cold tomato on a hot burger...I asked for "all the way" minus onion) so I thought well maybe they were out but the guy at a table next to us had a tomato. Only two kinds of cheese to pick from: American and Swiss so I skipped that totally. I asked for unsweet tea got sweet tea...not a big deal but good thing I'm not diabetic.

Side note, the other table next to us didn't even get their order (I think they were on a lunch break) and they were sitting/waiting before we got there. Our order and the guy that got a tomato both came out first because the cashier girl didn't put their slip in to the kitchen.

Skip this place unless you've got lots of time and can find a place to put your car or just skip it all together because the food is...
