Second time up here camping and due to the rain we decided to stop here. Walked in and stood there, not sure what to do. We asked the girl at the bar where we should sit and she said wherever but there's no waitress so you have to come back up to order. We picked a spot and checked the menu. There were 3 other parties in there at the time eating. There was no menu for the beer/ drinks. We chose two pizzas and went back to order. They were out of pulled pork & brisket so I had to quick choose something else. I inquired 'what about the beer?' (the pinnacle of the place one would think) and she pointed to the list on the wall and then said they were out of 3 of them. I asked if they did flights seeing as we were first-time customers and she said she only had 'one' left so only one of us could have it. Ooookkkkkk? We picked 4 of the available beers to that back to the table. I noticed none of the other customers had fights, so they may want to invest in more flight holders. Husband got the meat stacker which came after 20 mins. Figuring mine (farmyard)was right behind it, he waited to eat. Nope. A family that came in after us got 2 pizzas served. I went up to inquire about mine and she said specialty pizzas take longer. I said I understand that but hubby's was out, then the other table. She then said as if she was explaining to a child that both of the pizzas went in at the same time but specialty pizzas take longer. I said I understand but they should come out together. She looked at me blankly. There was a couple sitting at the bar now so I felt like a crab and just said, ok thanks I was just checking. I then asked for two knives and the girl said THEY DON'T HAVE KNIVES. At a restaurant. With food. No knives. She offered me a little pizza cutter to use, which I took and looked hilarious eating my pizza with my fork & pizza cutter. She did check and at my pizza should be right out as she heard the timer. Cool. As I went back to sit down a boy came out asking if I wanted the sauce in the pizza? I said yes? I had just asked for the coleslaw to be on the side, figuring I'd have leftovers and didn't want dripping coleslaw on it making it soggy. My pizza came out with coleslaw dressing drizzled on it and two portion control cups of dry coleslaw mix on top. To me, coleslaw is the final mixed product. But whatever. Thankfully the pizzas were excellent and with the two 14s, we had plenty of leftovers. Oh the beer! It's horrible. Weak, no alcohol content, no taste, no nuance, nothing. The Moonlight was like Miller 64. Corners was also blah. Fishers was strong but not good, and Bees Knees was dark, strong but again lacking. The atmosphere is cute, it's clean, but the kids running the place need to learn about about how to run a restaurant. Btw, this was a rainy Wednesday is Cornell. They were not...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I have driven past this cute little place and we finally had the time to stop today! As soon as we walked in we could smell the aroma of really good pizza, so I was excited! We came in and stood at the door not knowing what to do.. we weren’t acknowledged by anybody but then found our way to the ordering window for pizza. We waited there for a little while and the bartender came over and told us someone would be with us shortly. He then proceeded to go tell stories to some other customers instead of helping us. We then we’re getting annoyed and were about to leave and a woman came over to us rudely and asked if we had been helped and if we were eating at the place. We tried to then tell her our frustrations where she raised her voice and asked us again if we are going to eat there.. there wasn’t an acknowledgement of our wait, no apology, just rude customer service. We then left the brew pub after being so poorly treated. We will never come back but we will spread the word about the unkind people who work and...
Read moreMy friend and I stopped at MoonRidge today after some outdoor adventuring; we have both been here before but its been a couple of years. We got there shortly after they opened so we were the first ones there and greeted promptly by the bartender. We ordered the Cuban pizza and a couple of beers and sat outside on the patio. The beer is fine, nothing outstanding. When our pizza was ready they brought it out to us. I know this isn’t a full-service restaurant but it would have been nice for someone to check on us or even ask us if we needed anything when delivering the pizza— we never got any napkins. I love the spent-grain pizza crust but this was probably the most underwhelming pizza I’ve had here. I felt like the toppings were a bit sparse and the pizza itself was barely warm. I’ve had the Reuben pizza here in the past and it had more toppings and was hot! I’ll probably visit MoonRidge again, but I’m hoping the quality isn’t going downhill— it’s a nice little stop when...
