Not my first review of this restaurant.... but needed to update my review. I have never had a bad meal here but I also applaud their COVID practices! Dividers between booths, staff masked and keeping appropriate distances, etc. I had the Big Country Burger: big juice burger with Swiss and bacon..yummy spicy mayo and, wait for it....fried shrimp ! Yep! A true surf n turf burger! And the crispy sweet potato fries were perfect! I like mine med/rare and it was spot on! I made it through half and was perfectly satiated. My friend had their amazing Fisherman's Platter which was terrific as usual!! More than enough for 2 people. And it was deep with seafood, not just bulked up on a huge pile of fries. Add beer and wine and it was a yummy supper!! Fairgrounds has moved the bar into a new addition which added seating and cut the noise, which was my only complaint in the past. Dine In or Take Out a quick.pizza or a full meal or a beer with the football crowd....Fairgrounds will not disappoint! KUDOS TO FAIRGROUNDS!!

We visited Fairgrounds Pizza & Pub in Cornish on a Sunday early afternoon and had a solid experience. The food was very good. We ordered pizza and crab cakes, and both hit the mark. The flavors were fresh and generous. The service was friendly, fast, and professional. Even though we had no reservation, we waited about 30 minutes, which didn’t feel too bad given how busy it was. The staff handled the crowd well. The place itself feels cozy and casual, with a pub atmosphere. It’s located on Maple Street, with a free parking lot. Worth to mention are the good portion size, the inventive and very tasty pizza toppings and the lively menu. All in all, for a casual meal in Cornish, this spot delivers good food, pleasant service, and a fun local feel. I’d go back — especially to try more of their creative pizzas.

I've followed Fairgrounds on Facebook for a few years now and always wanted to try it because of their creative foods that they post. I finally made the trip there. I wanted to order something I've seen them post before, a calzone with lasagna in it. They had lasagna available as an entree, as well as the build-your-own calzone available so I figured it would be easy for them to make. My waitress - who was excellent - asked the kitchen if they could make it for me and they said No. As someone who grew up in the restaurant business, that kind of turned me off. If you're going thinking you can get something they've posted, know that there's a possibility they won't make it. The food we did order was OK. Not really worth the price or the drive there. Nice looking restaurant and the waitress was amazing.

I have thought long and hard about this review! If I could give a NO star I would have chosen that! Anyways, our friends treated us to eating out at a place of our choice (I was so ecstatic as I always do the hosting and cooking). We all decided to get takeout from Fairgrounds Pizza And Pub as my husband and I had tried the Pepperoni pizza which was good. Today, we ordered 2 -Steak & cheese with mushrooms, 1- Steak & Cheese with peppers, onions, & mushrooms, 1-meatball sub, onion rings, and chicken fingers ($72.00 and some change). When my friend & I arrived to pick up our order, we gave our pickup name and while waiting we was looking the menu over I asked my friend if she would like to try the fried pickles because she had never had them. I asked a waitress (I think, she was a waitress, but at least a person that worked there) if we could add something to our order she said " sure you can" as she went through the door that said employees only , I was thinking she was going to come to the pickup/pay window but she didn't. After waiting for about 10 mins (we live approximately 25 mins away so now your talking 35 mins) the girl came to the window to give us our order I asked if I could please have 3 sides of sour cream no big deal right and we didn't order the fried pickles because we didn't want to wait another 10-15 mins? She had someone get the sour cream and then she tried to charge us for them; I said wait we have to pay for them? she said "yes", I said don't you get something to go with the chicken fingers like dipping sauce she said yes only one, I/we don't care for ketchup and the usual dipping sauces which I explained to her. Needless to say, we drove 25 mins one way to this place, and my friend was going to pay for the sour cream but I said no. The girls stood there holding them I said we just paid for a $73.00 for our order I am not paying extra for the sour cream, mind you we didn't ask or get any ketchup, dipping sauces, etc. for any of our order, she slammed the window shut on me never saying THANK YOU, just a snotty arrogant girl.....my meatball sub was the nastiest meatball sub, the meatballs was so dry and tasteless, the others said that the steak & Cheeses was just ok, and the large cut FROZEN (not homemade like we was told) dripping grease onion rings were nasty and disgusting too! I did call and speak with the owner and he said come back and he would give me 1 sour cream the chicken fingers came with 1(my friend and I felt like he was making excuses and never once apologized (this was on our way back we hadn't even eaten yet) I said to him no thank you as I told you it's a long drive for me and seeing how your help/family member and you have handle this I probably won't be back. Well, after tasting the food which I had a 1/2 of a 1/2 meatball I will never be back. I am all set with being treated rudely and that is certainly no way to...

The place was very busy and the manager gave us the option to sit outside under the Gazebo or wait 25 minutes. We chose the Gazebo. Shortly after we sat two more parties were seated in the Gazebo. Both parties received their drinks and ordered their food before we got our drinks. We waited patiently for our food with the understanding the place is busy. One of the parties (party of six) who had been seated after us - had received their food and had already left. The food for the other party that was seated after us had already arrived. We continued to wait for our food and after an hour of sitting under the Gazebo I went and asked the manager if there was any way we could sit inside (it was getting cold and windy) to eat as we still hadn’t received our food. He told me “ I got nothin”. I went back to the Gazebo and about 10 minutes later he came out and said they had a high top next to the bar if we wanted to move inside. The manager also said he checked our food ticket and that we’d only been waiting for our food for eighteen minutes. I explained to him we had been sitting been under the gazebo for over an hour. We went inside and sat down. Our server refreshed the kids drinks and we waited patiently. After ten minutes another server came to the table and asked us if we were ready to order. I explained to her that we had placed our order and that we had been waiting for our food for over an hour. Shortly after this the food arrived and we ate our food and left. The food was great as was the service after we were served. My only problem was with the manager telling me the food ticket had only been in the kitchen for 18 minutes and his insinuation that I was being impatient. More than likely the reality was either the server forgot to give our order to the kitchen after we placed it or she waited 30+ minutes before giving it to them. The gazebo was not being managed by anyone specifically. Each of the server’s working in the gazebo had tables inside the restaurant in addition to the one assigned to them outside. The place was busy - I get it - the staff was working hard. My issue wasn’t with the waitstaff. The manager displayed both ignorance & arrogance to our experience. People make mistakes but it’s how you respond to them that makes all the difference. There was a lack of acknowledgement to the problem reported to the manager. There was a lack of accountability as the manager felt it was appropriate to blame the problem on the customer for being impatient. This situation should have been handled differently. Just thought it appropriate to share an “extremely patient” paying customer’s...

Was shocked when they came out dark brown Not very warm must have been sitting for a long time. It was obvious their oil must have been black And very old that they deep fried it in. . Didn't end up eating them. Waitress was taking forever when the place wasn't very busy. Comes to take our order. Only to now tell us no prime rib So we all order another steak. Took her forever to get back to get our order All medium rare Done different entries, All the stakes came out well. My son's came out black And tough on the majority of it. No seasoning. Whatsoever The waitress. Was giving us all the wrong plates. Didn't get my order right? I ordered potato with everything on it.Got a hard lump of Mashed potatoes. Completely cold in the middle. Yummy Dry. Cold disgusting left over mashed potatoes. Nooked in a microwave Just what I wanted for Going Out to A nice dinner to enjoy. I do not drink alcohol but everyone else ordered alcohol. My son said the alcohol was the only thing they got right. But drinks were 12 to $17 They are a restaurant known for making crazy Dishes.. My son decided maybe he should order something kind of crazy and lighten up the mood He wanted a pizza.. The gal did not know the menu nor did they even have what he wanted to order I went home with boxes full. Of my food. It was so disgusting. I could not even eat it.. Now being my first time to meet my daughter's son, I kept my mouth shut. And enjoy the evening. I. Would have return all of that Food as soon as it came out.and walked out the door. Never to return again. Plus I was not paying the bill. $275 plus tip. So probably closer to 350. Could have went to the outback and got steak and Lobster and a wonderful...
