3•29•25 was our very 1st time saw this on social media, that's why I came in. This is a very cute place, nice view very good food a bit pricey but who we kidding it's seafood the ambient is great the wait is a bit long I came on a Saturday and it is overwhelming and super busy my wait was 2 hours but I didn't mind because I wanted just to try the hype of eating in a lighted globe it was still good I was a bit dissapoint because I got a globe where the wifi was not installed so I couldn't put my own music on it. It was just quiet my husband and we still enjoyed it. You can't be that picky with the dome because it's whoever finishes next is the one you're addressed to. They have a bigger dome, but it be ridiculous to get it only for 2 people when you can have a whole family of 8-10 people, so that part is understandable. Other than that, it was good. Our waiter was Abel, so shout out to him, and he is a great, hard-working guy who will get to you and check up on you. So nice work, Abel. Abt the food, we ordered calamari, shrimp & and edamame, which was very good. Overall, we liked it and did it for the experience and to give it an extra boost of recognition and shared with our friends where they can have a nice lunch or dinner. But yes, these domes are with A/C, so you will be very comfortable. Your waiter/waitress will adjust temp if it is too cold or too hot, so that is a plus. It is Bluetooth but unfortunately I didn't experience that part but I will give it another try even tho my wait was 2 hours I didn't mind because I knew it is very limited in domes and it was full and people kept coming in throughout the night it wouldn't stop. So if you're starving, your not gonna be sat automatically unless you're patient and willing to wait, or eat out of the dome on the picnic tables. I'm sure fewer people on weekdays rather than weekends be courteous with your waiter/waitress it is busy and a bit of a challenge to get to you ASAP. But there is a call button. In your dome just in case for anything, just make sure it works. I recommend this place but try to arrive early to experience the lighting in the evening. We got there about 5ish, and we got in about 7ish. Oh, and your time inside is 90 min. Enough time to order that is when your time starts so order then your food arrives meanwhile enjoy the experience and the view. It's very different and cute. I recommend this for 1st timers, or a great...
Read moreMy husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early this afternoon since he’s on staycation this week, and I’ll be busy all day tomorrow. Rather than dealing with long wait times for dinner, we opted for a relaxed lunch date instead.
I had noticed the dining bubbles along the causeway for a while but had never tried Aquabite Market and Kitchen. Each party gets their own private bubble, complete with adjustable climate control and a Bluetooth speaker. Since the room felt a bit warm and stuffy to us, we left the heater on but opened the two screens, which made it very comfortable. The speakers weren’t labeled in the Bluetooth list, but after some trial and error, we found the one for our bubble and enjoyed some Monster Ballads during our meal.
The food arrived quickly, with our appetizer even coming out alongside our main dishes. We built our own seafood boil bowls—one with shrimp and blue crab in garlic butter and the other with clams and mussels in spicy garlic butter—along with a side of fried calamari. Everything was cooked perfectly, though it could have used a bit more salt and acidity. The salt was an easy fix with the shaker on the table, but I didn’t think about asking for lemon until it was too late. Still, it was absolutely delicious, and we both left full and satisfied.
One thing we were a little disappointed by was the drink selection. They don’t offer refills on beverages since everything comes bottled, and there weren’t any dessert options on the menu. While we don’t usually order dessert at restaurants, it was a bit surprising that nothing was available.
Overall, we had a great experience. Our server, Able, was attentive and efficient. Despite being the only server on staff and managing multiple bubbles, he took no longer than a waiter at a traditional restaurant would. I’d definitely go back again—I've been wanting to try a lobster roll for ages, and I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreOur family went here this afternoon excited by the neon bubbles - our daughter drove three hours in to visit us while my husband is out here for work. All of us huge foodies and lovers of good seafood so we were all really excited!
We ordered a dozen oysters - those were great! That is the end of the good news.
My daughter ordered a lobster roll - the lobster was refrigerator cold. I don’t know about you - but when you order a lobster roll is normally warm and dripping with glorious butter! This was none of that. There was barely 3oz of lobster and it was ice cold. For 30 dollars? Never again.
My husband order the “loaded” lobster tots. Ok. This was a serving of tater tots and on the side - a piece of iceberg lettuce topped with another 3oz serving of the refrigerator lobster.
We are laughing at this point to cover up the disappointment.
Now the two seafood boils - both snow crab. The crab was not fresh - it was frozen. Son in laws frozen in the middle. And way too salty. Seafood boils are expected to be sodium heavy - but this was too much.
This review is coming from absolute seafood lovers / we go out for a boil at LEAST twice a month. We may know a thing or two about good eats. The customer service was on point and you can tell this is a small business starting up trying to make it. I hope the food improves and business sores for them. But I needed to post an honest review. To spend that much hoping for a good evening with family from out of town - this was a...
