One of our first visits to L&S was about fifteen years ago, and at the time, my spouse and I agreed it was one of the best steaks we'd ever eaten. Cut to 2023, and while this latest visit in May wasn't a complete 180, it didn't shine like it once did for us. I had a rib eye - cooked the way I wanted, but it lacked serious flavor other than having the grill taste a steak lover looks forward to; my husband agreed it's not what he remembered having once upon a time. In reference to the service rating, while it was understandably busy for a Sunday afternoon, the three people waiting tables seemed to be all over the place with no system of "this area for this server", and as a result, we ended up waiting almost fifteen minutes just to get our drinks ordered and five minutes just to get the drinks. I don't think we'll be returning - we'll leave it to the locals to go there for the sake...
Read moreThis is a wonderful place to eat. Very nice atmosphere. Our server was very nice. We started with seafood stuffed fried mushrooms. They were delicious. I had the fried fish and shrimp. That was really tasty. The crust was crunchy, but light. Really it was the best tasting fried fish and shrimp I has tasted. I asked the server if he knew how the crust was made. He said that the owner hand flours the crust himself. The server said the owner makes all the food himself. I thought that was kinda neat. You don't hear that everyday. My friend had a steak, and it was really delicious too. The owner cooks the steaks on an open flame grill. It was really one of the best steaks I ever had. Really a great flavor.. We did forget to get cash before we went. It is a little cheaper to pay with cash. I would definitely recommend this place. Really wonderful food. We will definitely eat...
Read moreCustomer service was great a plus for the young gentleman waiter. But wait time for food in a restaurant that is not even half full is ridiculous. Waited an hour and a half for food. The wait times for food have been faster in restaurants with people waiting out the door not sure if they are just understaffed or if maybe they have people in training but the cooking area could greatly be improved. Ordered fish and shrimp but the fish was so overly cooked and crispy it had to be cut with a knife. Was not worth the wait. Was not able to eat it was like eating a burnt crispy piece of pizza.First and last time I would eat at this place try everything once...
