Unsatisfactory in almost every way. Came an hour before closing and placed a very simple order mostly because the menu is virtually on the ground in the drive through so my wife and I could only see about ¼ of it. Pull up and wait 5 minutes before they come to take my payment to find out their card reader can't read the card that I'd used 4 other times that day, fortunately I had cash. After waiting another 10 minutes they come to the window and tell us that they're either making or remaking several items in the order and it will be a good bit longer. 20 minutes after that the car behind us starts honking. Instead of addressing the customer behind us in line a woman comes out and asks us to move out of the drive through so they can take care of other customers. I pull around. Wait another 20 minutes before they bring us our food. A girl rushes out to us with a bag, says "have a good one" and rushes back inside. We check the bag to make sure everything is there. One item is missing and two items are wrong. I take the bag and the receipt to the door to find out it's locked. The lady inside won't come open it and just keeps mouthing "we're closed". So aside from robbing me of nearly an hour of my time, they managed to rob me of my money as well. Extremely disappointed, absolutely will not be going back. Save your time and money, go literally...
Read moreWent to visit base on Monday 9-14-2020 and stopped at drive-thru at approximately 4:30 pm. There were about 7-8 largely advertised items on menu board. The lady kept telling us they were out of specific dishes we tried to order - about 5. We settled on chicken/mushrooms and beef with needles for which they charged an added “premium” because of the beef.
If I were a franchisee on a military base servicing our military members and veterans, I would be ashamed! The food was lukewarm, dry from sitting since probably before noon (we should have noticed a red flag when she kept telling us they were out of certain dishes), expensive (beef prices have been coming down for months in Texas), and tasteless. Almost $20 for food we had to throw away!
If I were the contracting officer overseeing this contract, I would put them on notice for a termination for default of their contract. If you are serving dinner, then food preparation should always be fresh and not left overs from lunch. I’m sure the food is fresh at lunch time when it’s prepared. But not to make fresh food at dinner and only serve what you have left until you run out - an insult to our military and veterans. As a veteran, never again will I visit this place and I will lodge a complaint with exchange’s...
Read moreNormally, the restaurant standard of arriving before closing means all food is still available and that service is still provided. I pulled up to the drive-thru 5 minutes before closing and the automated voice stated they were closed. I then drove up to the window and an employee sitting on their phone gestured to me that they were closed. I prompted her to open the window and asked to speak with the manager. The “manager” stated that they were almost at closing time, so they were closed. After asking them if that’s how they did business, they allowed us to order. We decided to enter the building instead of the drive-thru. Upon entering, they had maybe 2 scoops of rice, a tongs worth of chow mein, and a scoop of orange chicken remaining. They stated that nothing else was available.
I get wanting to go home as soon as work is over, but if this is what’s provided on base, then we should look to a different contract. This type of service wouldn’t...
