Not only is this place family owned BUT … they raise their own BEEF! 6 months before the cattle are processed they finish them out on corn only. You can even buy pre-packaged and labeled various cuts of beef from a freezer by the register…fresh from the butcher that’s processed it. The inside is small with only two booth style tables so most locals drive through, DoorDash or come in and pick up their orders. This place calls you by name and makes recommendations. One thing I loved (other than the food & service) is that you can see the whole kitchen so not only is it cleaner than you’d expect but it’s efficient and everything is literally made when you order it. They cut their vegetables every morning before they open … fries are frozen but honestly I don’t mind that at all!!! They hand cut and batter not only their onion rings but the chicken tenders too!!! The place is perfect and if there’s one thing I respect it’s a restaurateur that knows their strong points and doesn’t accept anything less than the best for their clients and customers. This place has that, for sure!!! It seems like they won every single award 🥇 possible in the local newspapers ‘Best Of’ competition for 2024 and they’ve only been at this...
Read moreDrove an hour from Dallas to dine at this establishment. I eat like a 12yr old so I got a chub when I seent that tator tots and a grilled baloney sammich was on the menu. I ordered me up one of them, and customized it to fit my pallet. Well done tots, I’m want em crispy like a California arson wildfire.
Also ordered the Bacon cheese burger, customized of course, the jalapeo burger for the pops and the mushroom Swiss for the pops old lady. Ordered the onion rings (pro-tip) ask for the special ring sauce. That’ll make ya wanna punch somebody in the throat afterward.
Staff is great, but one feller stood out in particular. Long drink of water this guy. Stood dang near 7ft. Grinnin’ ear to ear like he was about to lick the window. He may or may not have been pregnant, I don’t know, didn’t think to ask. He came over to the table and buttered us up with an order of churros. It was like a sweet kiss from the bloody baby Jesus himself. You may wanna also ask about a special soda water mixture they have. Orange and vaniller. Ooooh boy. That crème sickle is the pickles tickle…
Go eat here folks. Go. Before the eclipse...
Read moreMeh… this place came highly recommended and did not live up to the expectation I had. My first impression when I walked it was the overwhelming greasy smell, I probably should’ve turned around and left right then. Ordered the ranch popper, which is apparently their most famous burger and the person at the register said oh it’s not that spicy, it was pretty spicy. Tasted like a greasy burger, but amidst all the other ingredients on the burger I had a hard time tasting the meat!!! She asked me if I wanted jalapeño ranch and regular ranch with my tater tots and I was like sure and then I got my bill and they charged me $1.50 for those things that’s a rip off. I asked to switch out the pepper jack cheese for cheddar cheese to tone down the spice level on my burger and they charge me a dollar that’s a rip off, would you have charged me $1 less if I asked for no cheese??? The whole thing cost me $21, not worth it at all!!! you’re going to charge extra for things like sauce for your tater tots or a piece of cheese that you substituted for the original cheese. You should probably let the...
