Famous Donuts — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

Selection is very very limited... says 24 hours but nothing after 10:00 pm. Why are they even open if they aren’t going to have good selections? Also, I went and the door was closed I figured the window next to the street but a fellow patron had to tell me, the man inside saw me but completely ignored me and let me stand outside while I was looking inside. Kind of rude that a customer had to explain the window on the side to order instead of the worker inside, doing whatever he could to avoid me...

Fancy? No, but the offerings at Famous Donuts are bountiful. It seems that their foray into sub sandwiches has given way to expanding their coffee bar (which isn't a bad decision) and that they still offer that along with donuts, ice cream, purified water for bottling, and a variety of pre-packaged soft drinks. I miss the old soda fountain and I wish that they'd take card through the late-night take-out window as they do inside. Otherwise, I can't complain about the job Famous...

It’s not often I’m blown away by a place, but this place has done it. Famous Donuts is in a simple strip mall with very humble storefront, but by golly do they have the best donuts around!! For those who like classic, FRESH, quality donuts, this is the place. The owner is just fabulous too- so friendly and generous as well. I will make the drive from Irvine to Costa Mesa just for these.
