The Sands — Restaurant in Cotter

My husband and I have been going here ever since they started serving dinner, and this is one of our top favorite places to eat out of all the restaurants in Mountain Home, Norfork, and Cotter! The flavor combinations they put together in their dishes never disappoint! We always get the specials, and whoever is cooking back there is on the same tier as PJs, absolutely amazing! I can't recommend them enough! The service is always fantastic, we've never had to wait long for anything and you can tell the staff really care about making it a special occasion for you. The first time my disabled client and I went there it was very nice and we were treated well. This last time , not so good. The first time 5 stars on everything. This last time to visit will probably be our last. We had to wait on the laughter of the gathering in the back to get a waitress to come back to our table. I received a refill on my coffee, my client attempted to waive a girl down for a refill on his twice and was ignored. I attempted to call one over for him and client said dont bother I'm done here. Was here for a great breakfast back in June but the Natural State Fly Shop (my favorite) recommended we try them for their new dinner times Thursday to Saturday. So very glad we did. They completely change the mood of the restaurant from the morning cafe to the evening fine dining. The service was very friendly and very attentive. The chef they have for dinner is a wiz! They have a basic menu and then a weekly special menu. Portions are great, dishes are cooked to perfection, and presentation is fabulous in this country boy’s eyes.
