Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Cottonwood Heights

I have been to this location about 5 times now sense I have moved to the area. They are by far the worst Pizza Hut location I have ever used. I really like Pizza Hut. I even worked there as a driver back in the late 90's and early 00's. I am really easygoing so the fact I am this pissed off about a place to write a review should be disturbing. So first off I wanted some chicken wings, and had a craving one night so I bought a bunch of wings for me and my 2 boys. they came and delivered my 16 wings and my 2 pizza's. it was good. and so good in fact I was ready for more the next night. so I ordered the same exact order. I got boneless chicken wings this time. So that really pissed me off as I ordered the exact same thing as the night before. Its really not even close to the same thing, and really ruined my meal. So I didn't want to order again for a couple weeks, but I decided I wanted to try again. I went online to order and again I was in the mood for wings. I couldn't get the website to put wings on my order. so I called them and they said "hh sorry we are out of wings" so REALLY out of wings?? why not be out of PIZZA?? so I didn't order. Then I was again in another mood for some wings a couple weeks later. So this time I decided to just put the order in and go pick it up. So I got wings and pizza. I placed the order about 15 minutes before I left to get there. When I arrived I noticed the cool screen that shows your name and that you called in and when your order will be ready or if its ready. So I went to the counter and I saw that my food was saying ready. So I sat and waited and waited and waited. finally someone decided to break away from their important gossiping to come help me. so when they did come and help me. maybe 5 minutes later. They told me they would check. the guy that helped me was all confused. which was weird because the board had like my name and that was it as completed. so he went in the back and they talked again and came back out to the front and told me. "There was a problem with your order, so we are going to make it again" I was so pissed. but I was nice and said ok thanks, and went on. so after about another 20 minutes they finally got my food and I was on my way. I did make sure before I left that all my food was correct. and it was. The other thing about this visit that made me really feel bad was they just didn't care at all that I was sitting there that long. almost an hour, for a order I called in and was supposed to be ready when I got there. No one came out to talk to me, or ask me if I needed anything, or if they were hurrying or have a coupon. or anything. But nope they ignored me pretty much the whole time except to be inconvenienced by me and give me my food when it was ready. Then that brings me to last nights order. So again I am in the mood for wings. so I go online and I cant get wings again online, so I call and of course they don't have any wings. (I mean why would they have something that was on their menu???) So again I was disappointed but my kids wanted pizza and I didn't want to go anywhere. so I ordered some pizza and pasta. So the food got there, and I must be just plain dumb because I didn't check the pizza with the delivery guy like I should be at this point with all the #$%ups. But I didn't and as soon as I opened up my pizza I had a freaking Hawaiian. I ordered a ham and chicken and black olive pizza and I got a ham and pineapple. I am just so pissed off at Pizza Hut right now I cant stand it. I think who runs this location should really take a look at themselves and see if they really even care about their job or their company or their customers. We love pizza hut, but have had nothing but subpar experiences with this location with little remorse or remediation from the staff. I wish we could get delivery from another location. Reading through the other reviews I've had the same experiences... getting hung up on, etc. I even received a call from who I assume was the manager and got in a yelling match over the phone on one occasion after my pizza was said to be delivered... when it didn't... and it was like an additional hour and a half beyond the original 1 hour estimated delivery time.

My family gets the craving and urge to order Pizza hut maybe once or twice a year and every time I have to leverage the horrible experiences with our cravings... Thinking maybe it will be different this time in our "abusive relationship" with this specific location.

Update June 2020: pizza hut app and the website force me to order from this location. I think ive had bad experiences from this place 95% of all my interactions. Now, I specifically try and grubhub from another pizza hut when i want my stuffed crust.

Update Dec. 2020: If you are unlucky enough as I have been on an occasion or two where grubhub goes through this location you may find yourself in a weird predicament where the driver has a bad experience with the store and staff and you don't get your order... your card is still charged and you now have to try and get refunded through the grubhub app.

Update December 2022: continuing our abusive relationship with what may be the worst pizza hut in the lower 48 states. This branch probably deserves an award at this point. Im hungry... I order a 1-topping pizza at 7:30ish. Says it will take 45 minutes. 45 minutes later... still says they havent started my pizza. Wait another 45 minutes... nothing. I finally call at 9:30. Store is closed... no voicemail no nothing. Just a no thank you and goodbye. Thanks for your money we went home. No recourse. I don't know why I try. I dont know how this branch is still in business. Should have read the reviews before ordering here… I should have stuck with the one on 13th and 106 in Sandy. They never disappoint. But I did this location because it was on my way home from work.

Made an order online for a dinner box with breadsticks. Please go ahead and read what comes with the the dinner box (you’ll need to see what comes with it) I added an extra icing along with 2 buffalo sauces.

I went in to pick it up. I received the items in separate boxes which it all should be in one box but no biggie on that just thought it was weird. I proceed to check that all my items were there

There was only 1 buffalo sauce and no icing (not even the one that should of been included) I told the worker I was missing 2 icings and another buffalos.

He went back and brought me 1 icing and another buffalo. I told him “i still needed another icing, it comes with one and I paid for an extra” and he proceeded to tell me that it doesn’t come with one (when clearly it stated it came with one) and that he’ll call his manager to ask. He slammed the cash drawer shut in a fit and went back and grabbed one.

Clearly he was stressed which I understand but if things were done correctly the first time around he wouldn’t have issues with customers.

Also why is there not a manger there to began with???

Pizza was fine Cinnamon sticks were kinda hard

The breadstick were just horrible… literally had no seasoning or anything and were hard.

I honestly would like a full or partial refund for at least the breadsticks and...
