I can’t even Remember the last time I wrote a review this mad. My husband and I are avid Thai food lovers so we were so excited to see this place open 3 min from our home. We placed our first pickup order tonight at 6:20. Pick up time said 7. I got there at 7:05 and there were around 8 people waiting for pick ups. By 7:20 not one order had been sent out and people especially the Uber door dash drivers were getting upset. At 7:40 they came and wrote everybody’s names down .I assumed when they never came back and said we don’t have an order everything was fine. At 8 I finally approached them asking how much longer and she said oh lady name chachas right we don’t have anything for you . Uhm excuses and you didn’t think to tell me tgat 20 min ago ? She says write your name down and if I find it I’ll send you a refund. So I say no you charged my card and called my husband to have him send me the order number which he did. Which they found. Which I made them refund in front of me placed at 6:18. They could have cared less about the mistake or running an hour behind on every single order they had because of a glitch in their system . When I left 4 people ahead of me had received their order with another 12-15 still waiting. Absolutely horrendous. Also when a couple left around 7:30 they said good luck it took us over an hour to get food on the table...
Read moreGood Thai restaurant (I’m Thai). The atmosphere is very nice and the service is great. Unfortunately they have just opened so they haven’t got alcohol license yet (they said they will get it in about 2 months). The foods were good. The menu has photos of the dish which helps my friend who is American. The fact that there are not too many options to choose from might be weird for a Thai restaurants, which tend to have pages of selections, turns out to be good as we can decide rather quickly on what we want.
I had beef tartare as an appetizer. The dish was flavorful and yummy; although, personally I think the flavor is a bit too strong and more suitable with rice. Considered that they have just opened 4 days ago, I’m sure they can adjust the taste a bit. Overall, I think this dish will be 5/5 as an appetizer if they make it a bit lighter.
The main dish I got was creamy chili jam soft shell crab. The dish is good and they are not stingy with the amount of crab they put in the dish at all compared to many other Thai restaurants that put a few crabs with a bunch of vegetables. It goes well with the rice and I’m sure customers, regardless of nationalities, will enjoy this dish.
In conclusion, I will definitely be back and recommend this for anyone looking for a nice...
Read moreAs a Thai person, I must say that dining at Ve La Thai was an incredible experience! The food is absolutely amazing and reminiscent of what you would find in Thailand. The atmosphere is elegant and truly captures the essence of fine dining.
The restaurant has a concept of pairing dishes with wine, which I was excited about. However, it’s unfortunate that their alcohol license is still pending. The owner mentioned it should be ready in about 1-2 months, and I can’t wait to try the Thai dishes with some wine!
The Pad Krapow is incredibly flavorful and took me back to my home in Bangkok. Another standout dish was the fried rice with a sunny-side-up egg and soft-shell crab in sauce—it was truly fantastic! And I can’t forget the Massaman curry. It’s rich, perfectly balanced, and aromatic with just the right hint of spices. The addition of mashed potatoes on the side is an inspired choice, as it complements the curry beautifully.
The service is excellent, with well-dressed and attentive staff ensuring every detail is taken care of. You don’t have to take my word for it; I encourage you to visit and experience it for yourself! Ve La Thai is a gem that truly delivers on authentic Thai cuisine in a...
