Decor: 3 stars Food: N/A Rudeness: OFF THE CHARTS!
I wish I could tell you about their food but I never got that far. I was passing through town and wanted to stop in for lunch, and I had a bike on my car rack which I didn't want to leave unattended so I brought it in the restaurant with me. I barely took two steps before I hear "NO BIKES!" screamed at me from behind the counter. Of course, if the place was packed and there was clearly no room for a bike inside I would not even think to bring it in, but this place is HUGE. I'd say they can easily fit 100 people in the dining room, and there were maybe 5-10 people there at this time. And there are all sorts of empty corners where a bike would not be in the way of anyone. But they just kept screaming "NO BIKES!" and referenced a sign on the door which I didn't see but I'm guessing read "NO BIKES!"
I understand full well what it's like to operate a retail food business, and that many things might not be obvious to customers but are they way they are for very legitimate reasons. If they said something like, "Sorry, we don't allow bike in here because..." that would be totally fine but where they don't get the benefit of the doubt is when they scream and act like jerks.
So we went to Holiday Market in the same shopping center to get sandwiches, which we ate at the picnic table in front of the store. Great Experience! 5 stars! They have a nice selection of breads, including dutch crunch and the veggies were very fresh. The bathrooms were clean and the...
Read moreThe owner was very rude to me. Told me skateboards are not allowed just as I was about to order. As if she wanted me to put it outside where there were tweakers walking up and down the sidewalk. I purchased that skateboard in Indonesia when I was sailing the pacific in the marines. I went to work on it everyday in Japan, and is my favorite skateboard I've ever owned. If you think I'm leaving it outside to be stolen, you're dead wrong. She acted as if I were to start doing flip tricks in the restaurant while I was waiting for my order. I asked my mother about her time working for monica back in the 90s, and the quality of person she is. Said she was one of the worst bosses she ever had. I asked my landlord about her time working for her. Same response. After everything I've learned from others as well, I will never spend a dime in that place so long as it is owned by her. Pretty disappointing considering how much time I've spent in there after baseball games growing up. And the memories I've made with my family. But boycotting this business is the right thing to do, at least until she learns how to...
Read moreOur visit on May 11, 2025, was deeply disappointing, largely due to the server’s unprofessional and unfriendly demeanor. Frankly, she seemed wholly unsuited for customer service, showing little to no interest in serving our table and making us feel entirely unwelcome. She did not acknowledge us when we arrived, yet immediately greeted the guests behind us—a gesture that felt blatantly discriminatory. When I asked for our drinks, she quickly replied with "I have other things to do and said to go to the counter to get our drinks". There was only two other tables occupied, I could have understood if the restaurant was busy, but that was not the case. What should have been a special Mother’s Day lunch was marred by this rude, unprofessional service. My family and I have dined here on occasion in the past, but after this experience, we will not be returning. I will not be recommending this place to any my friends, family or...
