The food was fantastic! A lot of restaurants have been in this building, like road runner but the ranch house is much better! Went for lunch on a sunday and it wasn't busy, waitress was attentive, kind and helpful! The food is super good! Got the crispy chicken sandwich and OMG it was juicy and was crispy! Same style as other places but this was flavorful, had some tang because of the Chipotle sauce and the sweetness of the apple cold slaw was top notch! The coleslaw was not too mayonnaisey or vinegary, it's just right! And highly highly recommened the sweet potato fries! And get the garlic aioli with the fries!! The green goddess ranch isn't half bad for salads but the aioli is the way to go, no regrets there! My friend loves the Thai nachos, the patty melt and the R&R burger! And the food is responsibly priced! $15 for the crispy chicken, and fries is great! Portions are American size too! I can't stress enough how great this place is, not to many food places in good old Cottonwood but definitely going to be going here more, we got to keep this place in business! Good job to the owners and staff! Looking forward to trying there dinner menu and...
Read moreWe drove from Redding to Ranch House due to an invitation from friends who live in the area. We were surprised by the service and quality of food at our dinner. We started with calamari & garlic fries, both delicious. My husband had the wagyu burger, which was done to his liking. I had the airline chicken which was tender with perfectly crispy fingerling potatoes. My friend had the pasta of the day which was rigatoni with Italian sausage & that was excellent too. Our server was very attentive & they will have a full bar in the near future. I think the ambiance had a casual feel as opposed to fine dining and the prices were very reasonable. I would like to go back and try the rib eye or chicken pesto pasta....
Read moreVery attentive and courteous waitstaff (Shane) and the small menu offered standards (my folks shared a reuben and I had the ceasar salad) that were as distinct as a fingerprint. Obvious attention to detail made a quick lunch on the road into a legitimately enjoyable experience. As we left, the owner called out a friendly thanks, engaging in a conversation about the artwork I had been admiring during the meal. He explained that many of the large canvases are original paintings by a local artist, then shared that the fellow had been amongst the small group of folks who had been sitting at the table next to the canvas I was so taken with. Truly a delightful and delicious surprise - absolutely a treat...
