I've only been here 3 times, the nachos we're the only thing on the menu that sounded edible. So that's what I had every time. I was disappointed every time. Canned cheese being weakened with milk to save $$$$ is really crass. And it had no cheese flavor any of the times and then to charge SSSOOOO MUCH for nachos that had NO cheese flavor but was drowned in the " nacho " sauce and to be so pathetically skimmpy on the rest of the toppings. All 3 times. The menu really isn't much to talk about if I went back to this only palatable choice a second AND THEN A THIRD TIME. No flavor, no toppings, no pride in being a restaurant as a whole. Insult to the 3rd experience, the parking lot hit me for $3,500 in damage to my Chrysler just backing out of my parking space. Who knew it was a mine field in the dark ( winter day ) so it'll be quite costly to exit one's allotted space by the restaurant known as Tish's. thanks alot.Really. I didn't.take my leftovers home AFTER every time I told them I wasn't going to be taking it home, they took my plate and parceled it up in front of me. I just left it there. On top of paying too much for bland,. tasteless food... I was still hungry. I'd hardly.eaten much at all and PAID TO DO SO ON TOP OF IT... STILL HUNGRY!!!! Plus the food was like.warm to cold depending on where the bite came from. So each time they took my plate of nachos and MICROWAVED them. Are.there food prep skills like a D when it comes to ratings???¡¡¡???? Maybe I should call the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce.. or the nuclear regulatory commission to report that I think I have found their missing nuclear waste.

Here's the short version. Tish's menu sucks and so does the one item I tried 3 times. ( 3 strikes you're out! ) $3,500 in frontal car damage backing straight out of a spot I pulled straight into...in closing, I've been driving for almost 30yrs and I've never even heard...

12/2/2023 Service: We were served by Jessica H. on this particular visit. Stellar service, she was super friendly and very attentive. She came over at least 3 times to check in and provide refills, if needed.

Food: First, they have expanded their menu choices since we last visited. So much more to choose from now, including more desserts. We did order the appetizer of spinach artichoke dip, which comes out on top of thick slices of French bread. Very delicious, but not what I was expecting. I literally it was going to be a bowl of dip with the option to actually dip. Delicious, anyway. Husband ordered the BLT with added fried egg, side of fries; My mom ordered the Patty melt, side of fries; I ordered the Reuben Sandwich, side of potato wedges. All of the food came out fresh and hot. I'm not normally a fries or wedges person, so I usually just get a salad, but I thought I'd switch it up this time. They have changed my opinion on wedges. Seasoned perfectly, crispy outside, tender inside. The Reuben, as usual, perfect. Meat was flavorful, cheese and sauerkraut appropriately proportioned to the meat. BLT was beautiful. Egg was cooked just enough, and bacon was the perfect amount of crispy to non crispy. Lettuce and tomato were fresh. Fries were hot and delicious. The Patty melt was very good. The meat was cooked perfectly and the grilled onions complemented it very well. Again, the fries were fresh, hot, and just crispy enough.

Atmosphere: Saturday night, around 5-6 pm. Not super busy. Tish's has a romantic, quiet feel but also one of those unknown location gems. You almost want to keep it a secret, but that would not help to bring in business, would it?

We love going to Tish's for our nights out. Always excellent service and...

This is our first time here, although we've talked about visiting for a couple of years..

Seated quickly, waitress is keeping up despite a full house and two very large parties...

Sportsbar/diner feel with party room and patio seating to enjoy on warm days... Very nice layout, gives a cozy yet open feeling..

For those that enjoy adult beverages, they appear to have a large selection..

Over-all a very welcoming/relaxing restaurant...

We ordered..

Spinach artichoke on bread. ... Delicious, creamy, crispy, with a perfect amount of chew. Strong yet perfectly balanced flavors, I could eat this every night..

Onion tanglers (onion rings) very excited to try themm... Very good, perfectly fried, no complaints, my wife is far more impressed however.. she said she loves them.. Personally, I love thick cut onions, these are more of a shoestring style, but that's just my preference and they are very good.

Our waitress is fantastic, very much on point.. With how busy it is in here, that is impressive..

Heartbreak has struck with our entrees...

Beef stroganoff with cottage cheese. Like old commercial, where's the beef... Definitely short on the meat.. Very light on flavor, however, the meat was tender...

Queso chicken with a salad. First the good, flavor is excellent, portion size is fair, but the chicken is tough, spent a bit to long cooking unfortunately..

With all this said, we will come back at some point and try again, any restaurant can have an off day, and with the amazing appetizers, I'm thinking that's what happened here...

Carmen our waitress was...

We were on our way to an evening meeting on a Friday and didn't have much time for dinner. However, the hostess and the waiter were both very understanding of the situation and they made sure that we were helped quickly. The restaurant was crowded, but service was great! I had the Philly which was delicious! Plenty of chicken, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and cheese on that sandwich! My wife was a big fan of the Texas Toast Grilled Cheese with added tomato. She got potato wedges and I got fries; we shared those and both were very good. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Tish's and we will certainly come back again when we have more time to more fully enjoy its ambiance.
