Graduate Restaurant — Restaurant in Country Club

I said a reservation for this place on December 12th 2018. The reservation was for January 5th 2019. I went into this restaurant on January 2nd 2019 and confirmed my reservation. When I got to this restaurant on January 5th 2019 at the time I was supposed to be there the restaurant was overcrowded and they wouldn't honor my reservation. Tell me about we don't make reservations for the time that you set. There's no reservation on my schedule, but I'll see what I can do and try to get to some people to move down to let your party at least sit here. This is what the manager was telling me as he's doing this the cook comes over the loudspeaker and says we are not taking any more orders because there's no more food. That's when I said what's the sense in being here if they're not even taking orders for food I had 25 people coming for get together for my daughter and there was no place to sit and per the cook no more food. So I talked to the owner or better yet the manager he was like yeah well we're overcrowded we are have the playoffs which for me didn't matter because again I set a reservation on December 12th 2018 and confirmed the reservation on January 2nd 2019 so it should have been honored. Because of the situation I had to scramble and find another place to have our get together which was supposed to be a surprise get together for someone. I will never ever go back to this restaurant...

This restaurant retains the name so they’re gonna have a big job living up to that name. I’m not sure they did that when we were there. I don’t drink but a lot of people are complaining that they DO NOT SELL ALCOHOL. That was a big reason that people used to hang out at the Graduate… drink beer and watch the game! Half of Stockton grew up at the Graduate. Hopefully they will live up to their legacy. A lot of the items on their menu are reminiscent of the old Graduates menu i.e. Gradburgers. BUT… if they are going to use the name graduate, they really have to try and live up to that name. So far they’re struggling to that end. The pizza dough is not good at all. No pork… no pork bacon, no pork sausage on the pizzas. No beer or alcohol. I don’t know… They really have to figure it out. I hope they read the reviews and make some tweaks so they can succeed Next time we go that’s what I will probably order.

Prices are reasonable. They replaced the heavy wooden doors with glass doors. They retained the old heavy wooden...

I went to the Graduate for years... as a child my parents would take me, then later I took my own kids. I haven't been to the Graduate now for several years because we moved & I changed jobs. I went today for lunch with my husband while our truck was getting a smog check next door. Still looks the same as I remember & the food just as good as ever! We each had individual pizzas, which were great; then [of course] I spilled my full soda all over the floor. The staff was so kind to me about it. The gentleman behind the counter just came & cleaned up real quick, said it happens all the time to make me feel better. They refilled my soda & we finished our lunch before going back to pick up our truck. I'm really so...
