Update: Sunday, January 14, 2023 PM They were very busy on a Sunday evening since the next day was MLK Holiday. Again, Kaitlyn took awesome care of us. Such a outgoing and bubbly personality. It was a pleasure. My son and I usually go half-and-half on a pizza or order a pizza and I’ll order something else. Tonight I agreed to eat whatever he ordered and he ordered pepperoni with olives. That sounded good but that’s where the story ends. I have never had such spicy pizza in my life…so strange. I think it was the pepperoni but it could’ve been the sauce too. It was actually unpleasant to eat since it left a burning sensation in my mouth after I ate it. I will never make that mistake again. I don’t know what kind of pizza they use but it was different than any pizza I’ve ever had before!
NOTE: Michael’s offered to replace the PIZZA that we were unhappy with. This gesture is much appreciated. Thank you, Michael’s‼️
———————- Update: Thursday, December 21, 2023 PM Here for the third time tonight. First, I would like to give kudos to our server, Kaitlyn‼️Awesome job. Even though they were slammed tonight, she took great care of us. Great and bubbly personality. Thank you!
Consistency seems to be an issue here. The first time, everything was great we had a thin crust pizza which was good. It could’ve used a couple more minutes in the oven. The garlic bread with cheese was toasty and good. So we went back a second time which was not so good as you can see my update below. We forgot to mention thin crust for the pizza and we did not enjoy the thick crust (our fault). The garlic bread with cheese was Texas toast that was not toasted, with cheese that was barely melted on the top. Not good. So we went back tonight thinking we would fix those issues. We ordered the thin crust, well done. We ordered the garlic bread with cheese, well done. Garlic bread with cheese was mediocre. It was well done but I’m not sure I would order again. Initially they made the pizza with thick crust. Since we had ordered thin they had to remake it! The thin crust still a bit thick. Again, consistency is the key. We would love to have a repeat of the first time we ate here but somehow we can’t make it happen. ——————————— Update: Friday, December 8, 2023 PM Went here for dinner because we had a good experience last time. We ordered a large pizza half-and-half. We forgot to order thin crust like last time. The crust on the regular pizza is overwhelming for us. Too much crust around the edge with no topping on it. So next time it will be back to the thin crust. We also ordered the garlic bread with cheese since it was really good last time. This time it was not good at all. Seemed like it was rushed through the oven or the oven wasn’t hot enough because it was not toasty at all. It was like eating plain bread. I guess we have to specify how we want it next time. Eventually we will get this fine-tuned so everything is perfect.
—————————- Pizza is very good. We ordered the thin crust but next time we’ll order it WELL DONE. There were parts of it that were still quite doughy and needed extra time in the oven. Don’t rush the cooking process !! They do pile quite a bit of ingredients on the pizzas! We had the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. That was really good. Atmosphere is great. Service is excellent. Kudos to Miranda. She took extra good care of us! We just might...
Read moreUpdate 08/07/2022: Today's visit was a huge miss. Hubby and I visited for a quick lunch, but a huge party came in at the same time as we did, so it ended up being longer than we expected.
It took a while for our lunch order to come out. I ordered the French dip with fries. The fries came out first. They were cold and were stuck together in clumps, making them unpleasant to eat. My sandwich was thin, maybe with 3 deli slices of roast beef and a slice of melted Swiss. It wasn't at all like the typical French dips I've had at other places. The sandwich was pressed together on what I assumed was a flat griddle as there were char marks all over my skinny sandwich.
Hubby had a patty melt with potato wedges. The wedges arrived first. They were cut in big pieces and were hot inside, so they were good. His sandwich, however, was disappointing. The patty melt was cold and the sandwich didn't have any condiments whatsoever. He had to dip it in ranch or my au jus to get any flavor.
Needless to say, we were not satisfied with today's visit. We're starting to learn that maybe the pizza is what we should stick to because it's usually very good. When an establishment has a lot of items on the menu, it's tough to make each entree perfect. Management needs to review its business model and pare down the menu to what they know is an excellent product (i.e., their great pizzas!), or continue to produce mediocre entrees that are hit and miss.
Update July 2022: Had a great visit for lunch today. However, you need to be prepared to wait as they are understaffed. We waited a good 20 minutes before we even got our drink order in.
Haven't been here in a while. I love the new layout as it gave the restaurant a modern feel. The bar and high-top tables look great. We got to watch the NFL wildcard game as there were abundant tv's around the dining room. The food was delicious. We had the family salad - fresh lettuce, shredded carrots, red cabbage, red and garbanzo beans, topped with lots of yummy croutons - served with lots of ranch dressing on the side. Then came the large sausage and mushroom pizza. It was loaded with toppings and the crust had a wonderful crunch, just the way I like it. Thank you for offering a deal through #StocktonRestaurantWeek! This re-introduced us to a...
Read moreMichael's pizza has always been 1 of my favorite restaurants. When I lived across the street and was single I would go there twice a week. Last night I had dinner with family that have moved out of state and was in town for 1 night. They wanted Michael's. So we showed up around 6:30 with a party of 15 people and didn't have to wait to long for them to clean and push together a couple of tables. The young lady came right by to take our drink orders and brought them in a timely manner. We ordered 6 pizzas in total. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed understandably, but seemed to forget about our end of the table but after a couple of times of trying we got her attention. And had her refill our drinks. She came by to assure us that all the pizzas were in the oven but wouldn't be coming out at the same time which is completely understandable. So the pizzas began to arrive and came out about every 10 minutes all except 1 the first one ordered and the simplest one . So we waited and the waitress returned 3 times in an hour and a half to assure us that the pizza was in the oven and will be right out. The last time she assured us she said she was trying to get the manager to comp. It but he said no but we could have a free app. That was fine as long as we could get it asap because we were starving. And before you question why we didn't just eat the other pizza and shut up. My wife only like pepperoni. Then the waitress comes back out to collect credit cards and ask who was paying for what? When she got to me she seemed completely confused when I told her to charge me for what she hadn't brought yet. Then finally she brings the pizza and the free wings boxed up to go . Not at our request but because they were closing. So we took our pizza and wings and left at 9:30. Needless to say we will not be going back to this dumpster fire. It is so sad to see a once great place go down hill so fast. So many bad reviews about terrible customer service. We can't wait for David's to open in quail lakes because we will never spend another dime in this place. Gina needs to grab hold of the reigns and get this place back to...
