Oh that was terrible! What the heck? Me and my husband both work long hours, we both were hungry and didn’t want to spend time cooking, just wanted to eat and get ready to go to bed. We decided on checkers because it’s close and we haven’t been there before. NOT A GOOD first impression. First off the robot taking our order kept repeating itself “order when you’re ready” even after we ordered. Get that fixed. Secondly, who ever that young man in the window was, was RUDE! All we got was two drinks and one meal to split between the both of us. He couldn’t tell us which drink was which, and when we got to the window we asked about the sundaes, he said they don’t have them. Which is fine, but when we asked about them all he said was “no”. No explanation nothing. This place was TERRIBLE. The burger was just slopped together. The fries were cold. It was a terrible experience. We are NEVER coming back here again, and hope this shows to everyone around the area that this place is definitely not the place to go to eat. Read moreOrdered the BBQ bacon double burger combo. Fries hot and fresh, as they should be. Burger was COLD. The cheese had no melting at all!!! Zilch! The patties was a little cooler than room temperature. There was entirely too much giggling and talking to be focused on customer service. Being a long time fast-food/restaurant employee it is my opinion that there should be no waaaaay a burger like that makes it to the customer.
The biggest factors that keep all the smaller national burger chains from truly growing & actually competing with McDonald's, Burger King & Wendy's is food quality/selection and the customer experience. And no matter which Checkers location you check reviews on, they all have a common theme. Closing & shutting down the restaurant waaaaay too early, and horrible customer experience inside the store. Not the drive thru, inside the store where you really want to give the customer the best experience possible face to face. Checkers will never compete on a national level with reviews in the dumpster. And now Jollibee & other foreign burger joints are blowing in like a tornado siphoning off even more customers and revenue. Y'all...
Read moreMy mom and I needed something to eat while headed home tonight. We got to the drive through at 8:30 on 8/21/21...a Saturday evening. What seemed to be the manager flagged us down and told us drive through was closed. We asked if the inside was open and were told yes. We went inside and the same gentleman took our order. We noticed most of the tables were closed down, but they had booths and the bar seating open. After placing our order, we asked if we were able to sit in the lobby to eat our meal before getting back on the road. He told us very abruptly no, that the lobby was closed. I am not happy over this. It could have went totally different had we shown up at closing time, but even the signage on their door states 9:30 on Saturdays. We still had a full hour.
