I went here at because of an emphatic recommendation for a Mexican restaurant in the area. I must say, I was impressed! A thoroughly excellent place to eat!
The atmosphere was very pleasant with the decor you would expect and it was done well! The eating area was a pleasant bustle you would expect for a popular local place during the church goer lunch rush.
The food was excellent. Everything came with fresh guacamole and lettuce, most with sour cream as well. Even an a la carte taquito I wanted to try out came with lettuce and guacamole! The Fajitas for two actually came with more than enough hot tortillas for two, TWO plates with beans/rice/fajitas fixings, and a heaping helping of well seasoned steak (or chicken if you want) with an assortment of expected fried onions/peppers/tomatoes.
The pricing isn't sky high and yet, the quality is top notch!
The food came out looking amazing on triangle and square plates, depending on what it was. Our meal was very nicely presented.
Finally, the attitudes and demeanor of the employees was extremely hospitable and friendly. Even the owner took the time to come see how our experience went, and we were just strangers passing through!
In conclusion, if you are in this area looking to take a date to a Mexican food adventure, a family looking to enjoy a great quality meal, or just strangers passing through on Father's Day - this is a fine place to dine. I promise - if you like Mexican food - you will...
Read moreVisited on 6 Sep. 2019. I was in town to help a friend out, and we had heard from the locals that this is the best restaurant in town. We arrived during the Friday evening rush, but we had no problem getting a table in the bar area.
Our server, Ray was very friendly and gave recommendations of items on the menu. We did have to wait longer than expected to place our orders, as Ray was kept very busy helping another server carry food to her tables. But once we placed our order, we received our food in a short time.
Ray checked on us regularly, and made sure that we did not have to wait on drink refills. After we finished eating, she took the time to talk with us about the area and answered any questions we had. In all, it was an excellent experience and to food was very good and well presented.
I will definitely visit again, if I am ever back in the area. If you are passing through Cowan, stop by and...
Read moreI have had my fair share of travels and that includes Mexican restaurants. This little seemingly hole in the wall place should be way more popular than it is. The shredded chicken Taquitos Mexicanos are by far the best dish on the menu Don't get me wrong everything is fantastic but this dish right here...you'll dream about it, you'll crave it and your 2nd time around you will clap with excitement. I would be more than willing to pay 3 times the menu prices. On top of the food being fantastic--the service is outstanding. Always with a smile and just genuinely friendly and helpful and full of personality. I make the near two hour drive a few times a year (yes round trip 4 hours) it is totally worth it. While you are in town take in a few of the shops and go back for dinner!
If you don't stop at Fiesta Grill you are...
