Fish Shack — Restaurant in Coweta

I ordered a 5-piece fish only meal via phone. The lady taking my order was great on the phone and told me a price and how long it would take to get ready (15 Minutes). When I arrived approximately 15 minutes later there were two females and a male standing behind the register having a discussion where they were trying to figure out who a customer/friend or person that was inquiring about one of them but the person telling the story could only describe the individual by looks. As I waited for someone to acknowledge me at the register which took approximately 2 minutes, I noticed that there was a to go bag on the table where I have received my orders before. When the lady who took my call (recognized her voice) finally acknowledged my existence because their conversation was definitely more important than finalizing the transaction she advised that my order was ready to go and grabbed the bag I noticed that was sitting on the table. She brought the bag over to the counter and continued the conversation with her two coworkers. I had pulled my debit card out of my wallet to indicate that I was ready to pay for my order. After another minute of her talking with her coworkers she finally got my card from me and continued her conversation waving my card around in her hand while she was talking with the others. After a few minutes of listening to them have their conversation she turned back around and advised me the price (12 and change?) on the phone the male that was having the conversation with the group said "no that's wrong its 15.99) After listening to the group semi argue about the price for another minute or so I advised that Id just like to have my card back and that they could have a nice day. Total waste of time and horrible experience. This has not been the case in the past when I have ordered here but this interaction will and has deterred me from giving my business to this...

First time going there for me. Pretty good place to eat just don't let the hype of other reviews set your expectations to high as I had set mine too high. While it is one of the best fish places in the area I still think the fish here was a little over cooked and chewy but still had great flavor. Also the portion size to money is a great value and the staff is a little better than average. I will definitely be going back for a second try to see if it lives up to the hype but since it is a 45 min drive for me the second chance better be amazing on their part for me to go a third. Our family’s favorite fish and seafood place.they have most the normal things and the all you can eat brown beans and hush puppy’s they bring out are the best.i don’t like the other stuff they bring but that’s just me because I don’t like coleslaw etc.the fish is amazing and best we’ve found.the chicken fried steak was good.the frog legs were good.shrimp was good.fries and okra are great.marvin and the crew in the back do a great job and always come out and talk to us.my grandpa and grandma knows em all in there very well.the owner is great too and comes by sometimes.this is first place out of 50 I’ve gave a all 5 star review too but they have urned it...
