Blackbird Bistro — Restaurant in Craftsbury

We stayed with Craftsbury Inn for a weekend friday-sunday and was fortunate enough to have dinner at the Blackbird Bistro, this place is awesome (and the locals know it) they don't take reservations, so make sure you get there about 15-30 mins before you plan to eat so you can ensure your table. (It's popular and for good reason) The food was amazing, local in most cases and delicious and fresh, the cocktails though is where we were shocked the most, the level of service and taste the cocktails had was amazing, something that woul rival any cocktail bar in a big city, for something this rural it was very impressive, we had multiple. When we were there they had one on the menu to raise money for the local library so keep an eye out for those ones on the menu, who doesn't like to drink for a cause. This is a great addition to the local eating and drinking options in Craftsbury. Not surprisingly, the combination of excellent food and cocktails with super service and an eclectic and friendly team is a hit. We have only had take out but, it’s always been excellent. We are looking forward to sitting outside and enjoying supper in the meadow the not too distant future. This place is awesome and there is an the added bonus that you are supporting a great local business.

We have a summer home on lake willoughby and we were closing up for the winter. It also happened to be my wife’s birthday so she wanted to venture out of the norm and try something new. She stumbled upon this fantastic establishment and boy were we blown away! The service was exemplary. Staff very attentive and accommodating. The drinks were perfectly crafted. Now the food speaks for itself! The wings were crisp and juicy, the packa bowl had everything going for it. The flavor was off the chart. Chicken confidential might’ve been what cemented this place as a go to every year we visit Vermont.
