The Log Cabin — Restaurant in Cranberry Township

As it was mine and my daughter's last day in Oil City I decided that I wanted to go out for Breakfast. After reading the very positive reviews about the quality of the food and the size of the portions we decided to come here. While it looked like it was packed from the outside we noticed a lot of seating available once we entered. We were seated almost immediately and began to peruse the menu, while not terribly big there was enough of a selection. Service was a bit slow but as this is a very beloved local spot that was a bit busy I can overlook that. I ordered the Deluxe breakfast with Scrambled Eggs, Hash browns, Sausage Patties and Pancakes with an additional side of Hash browns and 2 Biscuits. My daughter ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes with a side of Hash browns and bacon while my mother ordered the bacon and cheese omelette with a side of Hash browns. As we waited for our order the table across from us had their meal served and remember me saying I read in the reviews about the large portions? They weren't lying! For starters we went there to eat dinner on 1-29-23 because we seen decent reviews and a local person said the food was great well unfortunately it wasn't. The place is very nice but doesn't always mean that the food it delicious. I looked forward to an awesome steak dinner witch was supposed to be a ny strip, it looked nothing like a ny strip it was a very thin piece of steak folded in half. Also my vegetables were cold. The baked potato was served with looked to be nacho cheese or either melted American block cheese very gross. The salad was very unprepared served with huge chunks of tomatoes, and onions. Served rotten chicken noodle soup to my mother and sister. It was completely sour and spoiled and smelled putrid. The "manager" even agreed when he took the soup away from the table that it smelled no good. All he did was take the soup off the check and didn't comp anything. A free appetizer or drink it the least you can do when you get served something rotten. Then he lied straight to my mother's face when she checked out and said they added vinegar to the soup and it's a "new recipe". It would be one thing if they just apologized and made it right but I had to argue with him to get anything comp'd and then he lied and said it was a different recipe when he already acknowledged it smelled rotten.
