Sadly, I will no longer go to this restaurant on principle. The management has always in my estimation been somewhat stingy when asked for anything extra or above and beyond...but this time was really too much. When the end of the meal and we were asked what we’d like to take home, I asked for the cardboard boxes that are used for their “to go” orders rather than the styrofoam boxes. I was told that they were only used for take out orders at which point I stated that we were taking the remainder of our food out. The waiter asked one of the owners about using the cardboard boxes and she said that they would need to charge for them and proceeded to walk away. A few moments later a young lady came to the table with the two sizes of boxes and explained that the smaller boxes were $1.50 and that the larger one was $2.50. So I said thank you and she walked away. The waiter returned with styrofoam boxes and I told him we wouldn’t be taking anything with us. To add insult to injury, we waited nearly 15 minutes to get my credit card back because they had made a $0.50 error in my favor and had to credit the first transaction to go back and charge the extra $0.50. If your margins are that tight, you have bigger issues running your business. So maybe I’m just being stubborn, but I don’t appreciate being nickeled and dimed because you’re cheap. You’ve lost a good customer.
