We recently spent the night in Klamath on our northern California vacation. The area is fairly remote, so the hotel recommended The Blue Ox Cafe as a close option for dinner. The restaurant is located directly across the street from the Trees of Mystery tourist attraction. You can't miss it thanks to the giant fiberglass figures of Paul Bunyon and his big blue ox Babe in front of Trees of Mystery.
The inside of the restaurant was charming with the feel of an airy mountain cabin. Seating is well spaced, so you are not dining immediately next to another table. There are very cool antler (elk?) chandeliers for lighting.
Unfortunately, the food was not up to par with the atmosphere. I had the fish tacos and they were fairly bland. To be fair, I left off the cabbage which might have helped the flavor.
