So really cannot recommend this place!!!! Food wasnt bad. But i placed a order for 3 double cheeseburgers and fries. Was then asked if i wanted cheese....which i said yes!! Received my order to find out i didnt get cheese. Tried to call back and recieved no answer. Called the following day and spoke with im assuming a regular worker. She explained the owner stated they would comp me a single meal. Well after waiting a hour and a half and getting 3 wrong orders and paying over 40$ for the three meals i wasn’t accepting this. So i waited to speak to the manager/ owner later. When speaking to the owner/cook he explained that he made the order and talked over me. Was very condescending with his attitude and told me that was all he was gonna offer. So at this point obviously i am frustrated. He then proceeds to tell me i couldnt have ordered cheese as they offer 4 types of cheese and i would have been asked which one. Nor was i charged for cheese. So i payed 40+ dollars and cheese wasnt included..... he then goes on to ask about the fries which were partly overcooked. I told him yea and he laughed and with a snide attitude back said he has been cooking for over some odd amount of years and there is no way they were! Well i am happy you know how to cook and as stated previously the burgers werent bad. But when it takes this amount of effort to get something done sir.... your customer service isnt good. And not to mention i dont know exactly how you are running a business. I am not saying no one should ever eat here. But if you do.... be forwarned you may experience the same. There is no way this man could have overcooked the fries. Nor could they have forgotten the cheese i was asked if i wanted. Even after I specifically asked for double CHEESE burgers lol. Not saying he is a bad person. And i would be more then obliged to take this comment down and work with him if he would like to replace the wrongs. But i am sure this wont happen as his previous better then you attitude showed. Either way. Im not here to ruin a business or say anyone else has ever experienced this. But i will say... i had a very poor experience and will not be patronizing this establishment again if not...

Hilltop Grill offers an eclectic variety of events and menu items. Good food just isn’t one of them.
After my whirlwind trip to Florida for spring break, one of the first things I did when I returned was visit the Hilltop Grill. Like many things, I’ve drove by this place many times and since I was still on vacation, a friend and I decided to stop in for a post-vacation lunch.
Neither of us had heard much about the Hilltop, so our expectations were neutral. Walking in, we instantly liked the layout. It was all wooden and felt like a nice place to get food and/or beer on a weekday night. The menu wasn’t outstanding but it seemed to offer your usual restaurant items. Burgers, fries, appetizers and other things.
I feel like I ordered a burger and fry and my friend ordered something similar. While I don’t quite recall exactly what I ordered, I do remember being severely disappointed in what was served. My friend was almost equally disappointed in the meal they received. The food was bland and the service was alright. We were the only ones in there and even then, the service from the waitress wasn’t great.
In all the times I’ve driven by since visiting, they do seem to host some unique events. I’ve seen them host wrestling matches in their parking lot. I’ve seen midget wrestling (if memory serves me right). I’ve seen car shows. I’ve seen a military memorial service there. I believe they also have live music sometimes as well.
It sucks to write a bad review. It never feels good to speak negatives about a place. That is why I always put this disclaimer in here. Just because I had a bad experience doesn’t mean the place is terrible. I’ve been to places where one time the service is great and the next time it isn’t. It has been 7 years since I’ve been here and they are still in business. So that must speak volumes for the place being popular. Go there and see for yourself. If you don’t like it, you are probably only out $10-$20 and you’ll have a...
Read moreWe happened to go on a Friday which was one of the nights they were having their "buffet". The buffet consisted of chicken, fish, ribs and tamales; plus a small salad bar, corn, beans, potatoes and gravy, and a couple of store bought pies. The food was mediocre tasting but hot and always replenished quickly. The wait staff was extremely friendly, answered all of our questions and was just very attentive. The decor was average for a bar/ diner and I did enjoy looking around at some of the military items that decorated the dining room. I'm not sure why there was a treadmill in the corner up near the bar (?) but maybe that was a prize from the holidays. I'd like to give the place three and a half stars because I don't know if it's just what we ate that didn't really appeal to me or maybe I was expecting something more, but I'd suggest you give it a try...
