Whippy-Dip — Restaurant in Crittenden

Whippy dip is probably one of mine and my husbands favorite places to stop and eat. They have amazing ice cream and really good food. I especially love their chili cheese fries and black raspberry ice cream. My husband’s personal favorite is Cheesecake ice cream! (So delicious!) The service is always good with smiling hard working employees. There is limited parking and seating, but if you’re up for a picnic there is a park next door! Whippy dip is somewhere I recommend to anyone who is in the neighborhood or just passing through. Whippy dip could only improve in 2 ways: Music. We go in each time and it’s this awkward silence even though it is crammed filled with folks. Music is what this little dairy bar needs to pep up the atmosphere! A Togo walk-up window. Whippy dip gets so much business especially because the park is right next door. If they had a walk-up window it would double their business and make it easier for customers waiting or trying to eat.

This is Crittenden's best kept secret. The food is worth the price and the ice cream is hard to beat - possibly the best in town. There is a bit of a line to wait sometimes but as most will tell you it's worth it. Whippy Dip is right next to the Grant County park so you can get an ice cream to go and walk around with the kids or just enjoy being outdoors. My favorite things to get are a classic, chocolate twist cone, cheeseburger deluxe or even the fish sandwich. But really you can't go wrong with anything you order. I've had most of their food options and was never disappointed. The management is kind, friendly and down to earth. There used to be a cool frilly outside but I don't think it will be coming back as it has been gone for a few years now 😢 This place is truly a gem. 💗 No pictures yet because I usually eat everything before I think of taking...

I got a foot long with chili , cheese and onions along with fried pickles and a raspberry shake. It was all very good. They need a dip kinda like Hooters has for the pickles but the ranch was ok. Excellent shake with the right amount of raspberry syrup. I really wanted a burger but was pressed for time and they looked pretty thick so I figured cooking would take longer than I had time for. I saw one that another guest ordered and it looked great. The toppings really looked fresh and of high quality. That also applies to a chicken strip salad I saw yet another diner enjoying while I was ordering.
