Owls-N-Things — Restaurant in Crosslake

Nice place to stop for ice cream when you're boating on Roosevelt Lake.....dock right there in "downtown" Outing (there's a really decent port-a-potty right next to the docks, too) and walk across the street to Owls & Things. They also have a little gift shop, greeting cards, candy, kid stuff and some over priced sweatshirts. Would love to see some more Roosevelt hoodies that aren't hockey style & are a little more affordable. Lots of ice cream flavors to chose from! If you don't head back to your boat with your ice cream, you can sit outside at one of their umbrella tables. There's a port-a-potty here, as well. Owls-N-Thungs is one of those nice little stores in north central Minnesota. It has all of the local lake names embroidered on a sweatshirt, hoodie or a hat. You can also find a little something that your house needs or doesn't, but is too neat to pass up. They have some nice screen printed signs on sheet metal that I had to get one for the cabin. The best thing that they have is ice cream! After a hot day stop in for a cone or dish of some awesome ice cream and hang out in the picnic table outside.
