McDonald's — Restaurant in Crystal Lake

As a regular at McDonald's, I'm generally pleased with the quick service and consistent quality of the food. Their fish fillet and fries are is something that I get in from time to time. The restaurant is usually buzzing with energy, and it's a convenient spot for a quick bite.

However, my recent visit the bathrooms were not well-maintained, which was disappointing. They were in need of a good cleaning, and some of the essential supplies like soap and paper towels were running low. This is not something I've encountered at this location before, so it was quite surprising and off-putting.

On the positive side, the staff were as friendly and efficient as usual. The order was prepared quickly, and the dining area, excluding the restroom, was clean and tidy. I've always appreciated the consistency in their food quality and the speed of service.

In conclusion, while I enjoyed the convenience and taste of this McDonald's, the cleanliness of their facilities, especially the bathrooms, needs attention. I entered the bathroom and then the stall and locked the door. The white maintenance man came in and tried to open the door while it was locked I said excuse me someones in here. He proceeded to laugh then left. He returned to the bathroom Id say in about five minutes with a broom and was purposely sweeping under the stall intentionally. I was still using the bathroom so I couldnt do much. he then proceeded to do the same thing with the mop as he laughed at me.

This is uncalled for, I apologized for accusing the wrong man of doing ( it was the white older Guy)this but the manager was just yelling at me and couldnt understand how violated I felt. She threatened to call the police on me all because I was standing up for myself as this man was being inappropriate in the bathroom making slick remarks like hurry up little boy, what type of sick old men do you hire, kids come here to eat for...

Entering through the horribly over crowded with items gas station makes this a " go to the next one up Virginia St." Stop. The Bathrooms were a mess, and weaving through the store to get to them was just miserable. The line for food was oddly long and the store owner telling people to let gas customers through( which there were mone) made for an overall mediocre experience. Thumbs up to the well trained McDonald's staff for having to grin and bear the gas station guy. Thumbs down for the McDonald's staff thinking that speaking in any language other than American English so that other customers would not understand you was at any time okay.
