Atmosphere: This is truly a wonderful establishment. It's atmosphere is inviting and cozy. There is a small 'lounge area' where you can sit on the couch, or in a comfy chair, and have a cocktail while you wait for your table, or just feel like maybe playing a board game with some friends. It's 'kiddy corner' from a full bar.

The restaurant itself, is a very cool shabby-chic design. Beautiful lighting, that is perfect for lunch or dinner dining. It truly is a place where you could take a first date, or bring the whole family. It is a place that gives you a 'classy' vibe, in spite of it's less affluent location. 5/5

Food: Their food is absolutely amazing, and reasonably priced. It's a great value. Some of my favorites: The Ribs, Chicken Wings, Fish, and their famous jerked Chicken. They also have a fairly decent variety of other delicious/delectable dishes and drinks. (I guess if I had to pick my favorite or 'go-to' (for ANY time of the day) is the Tom's Grilled Cheese. It's a nice grilled cheese sandwich, chalk full of their wonderful ribs' meat (w/out any bones.) I tend to pair it with a side of fries, although, I do also get the mac n cheese for a side. Generally if it's evening, I pair that with a Strongbow Cider, or one of their many different hard/soft beverage options.

Staff: Led by one of the kindest restaurateur's in the business. Jennifer is a stand out Owner/Manager. She is a true delight. Her welcoming demeanor and friendly rapport, makes her truly stand out as a manager. Overseeing the wait and cooks, everyone is doing a great job, and almost always with a smile on their faces. You can tell, the majority of the staff, noticeably enjoy their positions/roles, and perform them very professionally, while being courteous as well. If you're lucky enough to meet Jennifer, (who seems to never take a day off) because of her love for the restaurant, it's staff, and it's patrons, you will meet someone who is likely to become a friend. Especially if you're a regular. She takes the time to get to know her customer's, and cares about them.

Recommendations: If you haven't had a chance to try Milton's out, give it a chance. I know I've set expectations extremely high, via my personal experience, and experiences of my friends and family, but I can almost guarantee, you'll agree, this is an above average dining experience, especially if you dine in. (I believe they still offer take out as well.) They also have 'Catering' for events.

Long story short, EAT AT MILTON'S, if you want some delicious food for the soul.

Great place for a burger or sandwich! The atmosphere is cozy but large enough for a bigger group. The decor is fun and unique with several interesting art peices and light fixtures. The service was really good considering what we observed. Our server appeared to be the only one working the entire restaraunt the evening we visited. He was very friendly. He explained that for groups over six, they usually don't split checks. Initially I thought that was odd, but by the end of our meal I saw why. They seem a little under staffed with the server even expoing his own food and making his own drinks. This could have just been the night we visited. If you are looking for a healthy dinner, look elsewhere. There are a few salads on the menu but its clear that is not their soecialty. The sandwich and burger menu is awesome! Good variety. *Try Terry's Rye if you like pastrami! Only 1 person at our table ordered a dinner plate (ribs) and said he wished that he would have ordered a sandwich instead. There is no kids menu. We found this super odd that as front of the house is ultra kid friendly with children's books and games in the waiting area. It's a little disjointed to have place be super kid friendly in the front of the house, but the back of the house does not support that. Many reviewers have reviewed this as a family friendly place, however, not having a smaller portions menu and only offering sides as kids menu really makes this an adult restaraunt. The bar menu was fun and they have a good mix of beverages. They even have house made cream sodas for non-alcoholic beverages. All in all, I would definitely visit here again but i wouldn't...

Came on a weeknight, just two of us to a half-full dining room. We had wanted to try this spot since we moved to GV a few years ago. Food was excellent, really cute place- but we had the most bizarre service experience. Our server seated us after a few minutes, and sat another woman to our right who was then joined by a man. Waters came to the table, and we placed our drink order. We saw our server visit this table four times before stopping by the bar to grab our beverages and come to take our order. Our server proceeded to give a gift to this couple, pull up a dining chair and sit with them for fifteen minutes. In this time, a father with three school age children are seated, are served water by another staff- wait more than ten minutes and leave while our server had her back to the entire restaurant. She darted around aimlessly for a moment, uttered a "where'd they go?" But still stopped four or five more times to chat with this couple after we saw our food hit the heat lamps. We watched our meal sit under laps for another ten minutes before she recalled that she's there to do a job. Another waitress was working circles around ours, and the bartender was trying his best to keep up- I'm very forgiving of staffing issues but this behavior was simply disrespectful to the other staff and to the patrons of the restaurant. It was like they were having a private birthday party while she was on shift. I was genuinely just so confused. The food was even better than expected, and was worth the wait- but next time I'll order for takeout and save the...

On the look out for a unique place we stumbled across Milton's. Arrived around lunch time on a Saturday and was able to be seated promptly. Decor is unique but appropriate for this place. Wanted to start with some fried pickles, did order, unfortunately didn't come out until after the meal. Waitress did own up to forgetting to enter it and confirmed we wanted. They were good with the jalapeno dressing they came with. The dressing cut down on the saltiness of the pickle so was a nice pairing. Daughter had the mac and cheese which she said was very good, she won't touch Kraft or other boxed varieties to give you an idea. The pulled pork sandwich, tasting some pork that fell off it would have needed salt on it's own but the sauce and slaw complement to not require additional seasoning. The chips are great with the homemade green goddess dressing. The french dip (with added grilled onion and peppers) was moist with the jui being very flavorful. We even used it to dip some fries in. The carrot cake is GF and didn't matter, was very delicious as is. The banana fosters was a balance of Bananas and ice cream, the caramel on the banana was very tasty. Overall a great meal, ate so much here that had to have a small dinner as wasn't hungry 6 hours later. If it was closer I would visit again, will see when I am in the area next.

Heading past the front of Milton’s Vino, Vittles, Beer, we weren't sure if it was open or not, but we pulled into the lot and wandered in to find it open and a brief wait for a table. The restaurant is tucked into a strip mall near the corner of 36th and Douglas and is a welcome change from the chain restaurants in the community. I'll prep you that portion control and healthy eating habits will fall by the wayside once you're inside this Southern-inspired scratch kitchen - you'll get generous platefuls of tasty food served up by friendly staff in a cozy space. The restaurant is rustic and antique-filled space that includes a sofa, board games and coloring books in case you need something to do if there is a wait for your table. The area isn't big, but the layout makes the most of the dining room. You'll be able to enjoy your meal and if you may meet some new folks at a neighboring table. The upside of the layout seeing the food options on your fellow diner's tables. Milton’s southern soul-food inspiration is evident in the jerk chicken, ribs, and grits. We had a starter of fried pickles, and the crispy coating was terrific over the encapsulated slices. The main course included Jerk Chicken with red beans and rice and the Pastrami on marbled rye. Portions were huge, and we both took leftover boxes home with us.
