Deliso Pizza — Restaurant in Cumberland Township

This place was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful with deciding what to order. My boyfriend has to eat gluten free so it is always a challenge finding good places to eat that don’t up-charge like crazy for gluten free items. He ordered the gluten free garlic bread (10/10) and chicken Parmesan with gluten free spaghetti. The chicken had to be grilled but he was still happy to be able to eat chicken Parmesan in a restaurant, and the employee who helped us understood his needs and accommodated without charging extra. I got a Caesar salad with breaded chicken and a slice of pizza. Both were really good, especially the pizza. Sauce and dough were amazing. We are from out of town but if we lived here we would be regulars. The restaurant was quiet inside and didn’t seem as busy as it should be. Some restaurants downtown look really nice on the outside but don’t have nearly as good of food. At Deliso, it may be outdated and not look so flashy, but the food and service did not disappoint. Great selection of Gluten Free!!! They have gluten-free pizza (including choices from specialty pizzas), ravioli, stuffed shells, and pasta. The gluten-free rolls for the garlic bread and subs are great too!! They also have gluten free salad dressings if you want a salad. Everything we tried was delicious!! The staff was very friendly and were knowledgeable about which menu items were gluten free. The dining room was also bright and clean. While we were eating, there were several carry outs for Gluten-free pizzas. We ordered extra to take home because we cannot get Gluten-free pizza and subs in the town where we live. Our pizza did just great reheating in the oven, and the sub roll held up well—it didn’t get mushy as gluten-free bread can do. Let me start off by saying I have Celiac Disease. That means I cannot by any circumstance eat or come in contact with something contaminated by wheat. I found this place on find me gf & was skeptical to be quite honest, to which I found out I never should have been! My husband and I stopped 2 weeks ago (drove from Shiloh, about an hour drive) but oh my was it worth it. The service was absolutely amazing! The man that was handling checkout stopped, took his gloves off & washed his hands before touching my boxes first time I've ever had someone do that. The food was extremely good!
