Nice and quiet little tavern with excellent service and food. The MD Crab Soup is full of crab meat but a little bitter. The Crabcake Sandwich was also full of meat very little filler and definitely close to the best I’ve had. If you like potato skins - definitely try them here - they are done perfectly. The homemade ranch is also a must. The staff was also very friendly and attentive.

No stars! Horrible. $21.95 for steak and shrimp kabobs came with quinoa and vegetables. Well there were 2 shrimp 2 pieces of steak and 2 pieces of pink scallops on the kabobs. The quinoa was weird looking. The vegetables of the day were apparently the 2 pieces of peppers on the kabobs. Waiter forgot to bring our appetizer before our meal. Ice tea was horrible!

Stopped in for a beer and something to snack on and maybe dinner. We ordered the loaded fries and a couple of beers. After the loaded fries we decided not to eat dinner. Based on what we did eat I really did not want to waste my money with ordering dinner. Did not enjoy the atmosphere it felt stuffy and was ready to leave ASAP.

We have been coming to Sharpshooters when we would visit before moving here in 2003. We then starting coming 1-2 times a week on trivia nights . NO time in that time have I ever met an owner or even knew who the owner was until this past Thursday. Trivia on Thursday has averaged about 20-30 people 15-20 of who come EVERY week! These people order food and have drinks each time!! This past Thursday we were told Trivia was cancelled - no reason no nothing CANCELLED FOR GOOD! Our server said that the owner was out on the deck if we wanted to speak with him about it. A friend who was in our party happened to be out on the deck smoking his pipe and overheard the owner speaking to a couple with him. He said "these trivia people come in here once a week - eat and drink for free and then leave and I never see them any other time. I'm losing money and I have bills to pay" Now granted yes Mr Owner gives prizes of 25.00 first prize; 15.00 second prize and 10.00 third prize. But with the amount of people there HOW can he be losing money??? He evidently is not counting the others who are there participating, eating and drinking who DO NOT win yet PAY for their food and drinks. He evidently is not counting the other times we come there to eat and drink when trivia does not take place. Like I said I come here at least 2 times a week or so and more if I have guests in town - I have NEVER met the owner. Before leaving we had talked with others there about different establishes that have trivia and where we could go - we have made some nice friends and have had a great time with the people who attend. As we were leaving my wife yelled across the parking lot to one of the friends that we had made unaware of the owner on the deck - She said Hey I guess we will see you at the Pike and to that the owner yelled back to her GOOD! What a jerk ! His staff is unhappy - he has lost some of the best waitresses and bartenders - his servers are talking about leaving because he continues to cancel stuff and they can't make tips why doesn't he just sell the place so that a new owner will do things that the PAYING CUSTOMERS like and things that will continue them coming back ??? We spend an average of 40.00 to 50.00 each time we are there - this easily pays for the prizes he gives away!! Doubt if I will ever go back there even if he does have trivia come back - he needs a good lesson in customer service - I heard he owns school buses maybe he needs to...

The staff was super friendly, but we were really disappointed with the food. We ordered pretzel sticks for an appetizer that we realize were brushed with butter according to the description, but when we received them, they were SOAKED and dripping with butter and salt. So salty, we had to wipe them off to be edible. My boyfriend ordered a rack of ribs and was asked if he wanted the sauce on them or on the side- he requested on the ribs. They came out drenched in the sauce (definitely an afterthought and not part of their preparation). When he tried to pull them apart, they were rubbery and so tough he had to cut them with a steak knife - not to mention, the cartilage or fat that ran through every piece, making them inedible. Our server did take them off, and he was allowed to order something else, which we appreciated, but still weren’t impressed. He ordered the Fish Fry and that was also over cooked and dry, yet dripping with the grease it was fried in. I will say, the burger I ordered was pretty good - well cooked and very flavorful, although I wish they’d cooked the egg on top of it all the way, because the egg whites were literally still raw on some parts.

Overall, we wouldn’t go back and eat there again. But the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. Such a shame the food wasn’t up to those...

This place is horribly managed. I was here on two occasions almost a year apart, this time with a group of ten, and received the same subpar service both times. They won't take reservations, but they are flustered when you show up with a large group. They also refuse to split the bill. If you order a dozen wings, you still can only get one sauce. They had one guy working this time to serve all the tables and run the bar by himself... on a Saturday night! It wasn't too busy, but the guy definitely needed help. Piss poor management! And I would have been understanding with him if he wasn't pretty arrogant with his responses and excuses. I finally said something to him after I had to go to the bar and wait 20 minutes to get my drink as he kept walking past me and started wiping down tables of people that had left. Your focus should be on the paying customer in front of you, not on cleaning tables for customers that weren't coming in and that he clearly couldn't handle anyway. The food is decent. But they had two cooks working, and our group's food still came at three different times. Some of our table was done eating before the rest got their food. Anyway, it may be fine for a couple to go eat there, but if you have more than a few people, I would strongly urge you to...
