The food is good, location is calm, prices aren't too bad.

However, I had a bad experience today with the manager/supervisor. I called last week to let them know I had a big group coming. I spoke to the supervisor/manager on the phone and since I had under 30 he told me to just show up.

I came with 25 special needs students today. To make the staff's lives easier, I printed the menu from online and each student circled their order. We also budgeted according to this online menu. Unfortunately, the online menu was outdated and the prices were much higher now. I had to pay out of pocket to cover each of my students. This is fine. Things happen. The servers Melissa, Sean and another latin gentleman were nice, patient, and helpful and apologized for the inconvenience of the outdated website. However, when the manager/supervisor, a heavy set short haired man, came by to fix one of the receipts, I let him know this occurred because of the outdated website and to please update it for next time we visit.

This man in a very condescending tone told me it's my fault for not picking a set menu even though this is for 30+ people and I had less and he told me to just show up. He then tried to convince me that they do not have a website or any google page. I showed him the site with their name and phone number and he confirmed that is their information then tried to convince me that "random people impersonate the restaurant online". So I'm leaving this review to an impersonator according to this guy. Then he said I should have called to check the prices of the items before coming in???

What would have made more sense is that these people probably made an online menu for covid and just haven't updated it since... I was not expecting ANYTHING free nor did I ask. This was a simple oops I asked to be corrected and this guy chose to be a jerk rather than simply say "sorry for the inconvenience, will do". Not sure how this guy is the manager in a customer service related industry.

Having an accurate online menu people can look up in advance is important for special needs individuals to plan ahead to have a smooth trip, budget correctly and think about what they want in advance. Their experience is sometimes different than typical people. Very...

A Coastal Culinary Adventure at Black Point Ocean Grill

Tucked away along the Miami shoreline, Black Point Ocean Grill emerges as a culinary gem that beckons patrons to indulge in a seaside dining experience like no other. From the moment I set foot in this captivating establishment, I knew I was in for an evening of flavors that would transport me to the tranquil embrace of the ocean.

Black Point Ocean Grill's expertise in crafting cocktails is nothing short of extraordinary. The cocktails offered are a symphony of creativity and libation, inviting guests to embark on a delightful journey through mixology artistry. The Tropical Sunset Martini, a tantalizing fusion of exotic fruits and spirits, painted a mesmerizing canvas of colors that mirrored the hues of a Miami sunset. The Black Point Breeze, a refreshing concoction of herbs and citrus, showcased the bar's finesse in crafting libations that capture the essence of the coastal breeze. Every sip of these thoughtfully concocted cocktails was a sip of pure elegance that left an indelible mark.

Elevating our coastal culinary adventure was the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Mia. Her genuine enthusiasm and attentive demeanor added an extra layer of charm to our evening, making us feel like cherished friends sharing stories by the sea. Mia's comprehensive knowledge of Black Point Ocean Grill's cocktail menu was evident as she guided us through the assortment of libations with a passion that reflected her dedication to her role. Her recommendations were a testament to her understanding of flavor profiles, ensuring that our cocktail experience was as delightful as it was memorable. Mia's personalized service added an enchanting touch to our visit, where every moment was elevated by her genuine care.

Black Point Ocean Grill isn't just a restaurant; it's a coastal sanctuary that celebrates the art of flavors and hospitality. The creativity of their cocktails, combined with Mia's exceptional service, creates an experience that resonates long after...

Food continues to go down hill.

Biggest draw was the great acoustic bands on the weekends in the afternoon. Those are long gone.

From 2024: 2 to 3 star

Great view! Friendly staff! No more live bands since COVID. Was one of the best to be able to enjoy weekend lunch or weekend happy hour with a live acoustic band. No more. No more entertainment. Food quality has gone way down hill. . Burgers which were once five star are like maybe 2 star. . Tuna steak that I used to rave about are 33 percent less size (used to be three tuna steaks, now only two), are almost always dried out, just yuck. But it was my absolute favorite meal for more than five years. This last week will be the last time I'll order the tuna steaks. . Appetizers are way overpriced, more than most meals now.

Still a great view, parking is ample but far from the restaurant. Outdoor is nice. But the food? In my opinion eat at McDonald's on the way in.

..................

From 2021: five star rating

Ocean grill... Hmm... Great food. Kind of expensive. Live bands. Smash the Like button if you are reading! :)

A couple of things going on here. Marina, boat ramps, and eatery.

Parking is great if you like to walk -- but be prepared to walk! You'll need to.

If it is raining, you'll get wet on the way in. There is no close by parking. Okay, there is a little close by parking, but only like a dozen or so spaces. You'll be parking far away.

Eatery: Eatery is okay. Kind of expensive. Lots of fried food. Band plays often.

Marina: Marina is fuel and ramps, not sure if it is full service with a mechanic. Dry dock and wet docks available. Everything is expensive of course.

Boat ramps: Boat ramps are fun to watch! Boat ramps are actually quite good, if you can get access. Normally this place is packed to the gills though, so it is not a fun place to be when the novices get...

Do not ever go eat there... We just had lunch there the waitress came out with our drink order left them on the table and took off.... My cousins Budweiser bottle had a snot on it that was hanging.... To make a long story short the managers told us that it was not a snot but it was the glue from the Budweiser bottle....(and charges double because we did not want to drink that beer) The managers I believe came out from a white trailer trash management training.... I have videos of the whole episode ... talkin about complete trash..... I'm going to attach the picture of the beer bottle and you tell me if this is glue or not ..... There's much better place save your money this place is absolutely disgusting..... Update owners response ... Again your assumption of me peeling.off is quite disturbing... I other pictures were the snot is hanging from the bottom of the bottle.... As far as your waitress and she was told please next time to wait when you put the drinks down and see if the customer needs anything else before taking off.... She totally forgot the lime for the beers... She also totally messed the food which way did not complain about so I don't know what I told her to make her cry..... But I could see why your manager is clueless on how to interact with customers.... Just by the way you responded to my review for you..... Take the criticism because all these things happen and there were not correct it because you have poor management..... People like you should not be getting loans from the government and $26,000 for each employee because it's obviously going to the owners pocket and not educating your management...... If it wasn't for the government help I am pretty sure this place would have been closed your service and cleanliness of your restaurant are horrendous

Let me start off by saying this is not the first time that we have been to Black Point Ocean Grill. My wife and I have been there on several occasions, and sometimes with friends. However it seems as if the service is getting worse and worse. We stopped in to get a bite to eat and some cocktails. After waiting there for about 15 minutes and seeing several of the staff walked by us and even serve others, I saw the manager walking by and ask for a menu. By the way, the manager was one if the persons that walked by us on several occasions. One of the bartenders behind the bar noticed that we weren't getting serve and she decided to take our order. A gentleman came in after us, who appeared to be a regular, immediately sat down and one of the staff that walked by us on several occasion went over to him and took his order. After roughly being there 25 minutes we finally received our order. I had the Black Point Marina Burger with the sauteed bell peppers and goat cheese and my wife had the grouper taco. Both of which appear to come out of a box. I asked for my burger medium and it came out medium rare . My wife had the grouper taco and she said it taste like freezer burn. Like I mentioned we've been here on several occasions enjoy the band, had several drinks, and ate good food. However, it appears that is no longer the case. If I could give a lesser rating than one star, I would. It appears one of the waitresses that walked by us couldnt serve us because she was making out in the corner with her boyfriend. If you can, please avoid this place until it gets new management
