China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Dahlgren

DON'T DO IT! SAVE YOUR MONEY! I've never been to a chinese restaurant this bad. I've gotten their food delivered every time. Unfortunately they're the ONLY chinese restaurant that delivers in King George (that i know of). Every time I've ordered, the foods been bad but I've never complained cause I assumed maybe they're just having a bad night or something. But its consistently gotten worse each time. Honestly I ordered 3 days ago and spent over a hundred bucks, and seriously wish I would've just saved my money. Since the night I ate their food, I've had some bad food poisoning. Going on 3 days now and nothing has gotten any better. Unfortunately I feed the food to my children as well AND my wife who is nursing our NEWBORN baby. And my baby's been EXTREMELY FUSSY. (I can't prove it was the Chinese food affecting the baby but you be the judge). My kids have been feeling ill. We ordered general tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken teriyaki, fried rice, white rice, French fries and crab rangoons. And im dead serious, I'll never order from here again even if you paid me. IF YOU'RE IN KING GEORGE AND WANT ACTUAL GOOD CHINESE FOOD, CHECK OUT JIN EXPRESS! They're food has been perfect EVERY TIME I'VE ORDERED. They don't offer delivery BUT THEY'RE ABSOLUTELY WORTH DRIVING THERE AND DOING CARRY OUT OR EAT INSIDE. They actually give great sized portions, unlike this place that seems to be cutting down on their portions SIGNIFICANTLY. The only good thing was the delivery driver was a nice guy besides that no thank you anymore...

Today I ordered $31 of food which was 3 items total. Ordered a large wonton soup. The wontons were mainly just the folded noodle and no actual meat. Pretty disappointing because I feel wonton soup is a staple to the Chinese take out world. Second item was a Mongolian beef with white rice. Rice was good and the Mongolian beef had minimal beef with a very excessive amount of onions. Taste good but I feel Mongolian beef should be Mongolian beef not Mongolian onion. My third and final item was just chicken low mein. Honeslty, no issues with that. I feel like the pandemic has set a lot of people back and small businesses have to make cuts which is totally understandable. I just wish for the price I paid and China garden being the only other Chinese restaurant in the area that was open on Sunday, that it would have been...

I had lunch today at China Garden. As usual, the service was excellent and the food was good.

Recently, I had heard from a friend of mine that McDonald's would give you your meal for free if you did not receive it within one minute from the time you gave them your money. I hope this isn't true, as McDonald's, inc won't be themselves paying for those free meals.

Since that was fresh on my mind, I happened to notice the time from when I ordered my meal to when I received my meal at China Garden. It was 38 seconds. And I did request hot sauce on the side.

China Garden is not a "walk-up" that you'd find in a food court in a shopping mall. It is not fancy, but it is a family restaurant that you could take a date to (and I have).
