First This place doesn't know what it wants to be a bar or a restaurant. The place has a terrible layout. Only 2 booth and they are for 8 people. A small number of 4 person tables. They have 1 long table that must seat 20 with poor metal stools with no backs. About another 6 long high tables that seat 6 with metal stools, but have backs. There is not one place I would consider a good place to sit. The small tables are very close together. The bar takes over a 1/3 of the place with a small lounge area. They should have placed the bar along the wall where the small tables are located. Then place booth all along the walls when the bar and lounge are. Continue to replace the 6 seat high tables with booths. Remove the 20 seat table and place small tables there. Don't need a lounge, no one was using it. There is a long hallway in front with steels stools and 2 metal high tops. Makes no sense, you are sitting in a main traffic zone. Would have been better to knock out the wall and expand the restaurant into this space. Now the food. Menu is really small. 4-5 plates , that do NOT include any vegetable. Burger and sandwiches. Decent amount of small plates. So is this a restaurant or a bar with bar food. No steaks. Had the meatloaf sandwich and suppose to come with horse radish sauce, they just pull a small knife across the bun. Had to ask for more sauce. The meatloaf was bland. We had the shrimp and grits, which is really a gumbo on grit pancakes. This tasted good, but don't leave the tails on the shrimp!. Are we suppose to pull them off in a messy dish? So far as food goes, it is below average. Would I go back? I don't know, it would be hard to go knowing there isn't a nice place to sit in the whole place. So this place doesn't seem to know if it is a restaurant or just a bar. I don't think I would bring friends here to enjoy a meal. To sit at a long table with others seems like eating a a school cafeteria. Best thing, they have...

Promising start -- but playing it safe! First off, I'm a huge fan that there's a new option here in Dahlonega and I do understand needing that time to get your "feet under you" in terms of staff, menu, pricing, etc. However; when you walk in the restaurant it's such this fun and fresh place, but the food simply didn't quite match/live up to the environment and "vibe". AS this new and fresh place in our beautiful community, it's my own opinion that some risks need to be taken with the menu especially to justify the price point they're asking. Elevate, decorate, and execute. The environment screams the need for some light, fun Asian/American- Fusion items -- but the offerings were sort of your standard "run-of-the-mill" items. Think Lettuce Wraps, Bahn Mi sandwiches or Bao Buns, take the standard fries chicken sandwich and do a spicy & sweet glaze, could do loaded BBQ egg rolls, appetizer tacos-- just something risky and bold and DIFFERENT to the community. That, and the addition of dedicated children's menu (as the recommendedation was...well, buttered noodles.)

Overall, the experience was pleasant and the wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The place was clean and plenty of parking, but the food needs to be elevated in order to match the price point. For example, the dipped beef and sweet potato fries were not worth $15 (handful of fries, smaller sandwich, and au jus tasted like it was made from a packet). I'll gladly go again, but I can't wait for new menu staples and items to be introduced and for the cook staff to find creative ways to "bring" the food to the...

I will start by saying that the bar and outdoor space is great! I agree with the other reviews about having smaller tables however I feel the vibe is more of a sports bar- gathering (hence the name) than a dinner restaurant. The sweet potato hummus plate was amazing and the holiday cocktail I had was delish (it was a gin drink). I was disappointed in the dinner.. my husband had fish (cod) the serving was very small and the fish was not the best but the breading for it was great and tasted delish on my chicken tenders which were GREAT- highly recommend those. I ordered it with garlic mashed potatoes. I feel they should have on the menu that it comes covered in gravy. YUCK! I almost sent them back but happy I didn't because the potatoes themselves were not great unfortunately... SUPER salty and pasty in a way I couldn't understand. Waffle fries were great! The kicker for me was that I ordered a tender dinner/platter so it came with the tenders and the mashed side... not sauce for dipping. When I asked for dipping sauce I was charged for it.... SO disappointing. I hope if they read this they will consider at least adding one dipper to that dinner it only makes sense right? It was our first time there and looks like they have a lot going on like trivia and music bingo... looks like it could be fun another night (I would like to try the wings)... $1 on Mondays! That's a great price! I know they are new and this review is NOT meant to be critical... informational... I can't imagine how hard it is to run a...

Food, service, and prices were very good. I had shrimp and grits, with red pepper, onion, tasso, and a cream sauce, served over deep fried grits cakes. My wife had linguine with pesto sauce. However, at 6:00 on a Friday night, with the restaurant only half full, the noise level was intolerable, painful, and dangerous. I have moderate hearing loss, and I had to remove my hearing aids and put in -32 dB foam ear plugs. I estimate the noise level was around 100 dB, so the earplugs reduced it to around 70 dB, which is a safe level. Anything over 80 dB can cause permanent hearing loss. Conversation was impossible, so during our meal, my wife and I had to communicate by passing written notes. Our server and perhaps the owner's wife probably noticed the bright orange ear plugs in our ears, and apologized for the noise level. They said they intend to do something to reduce the noise level soon. At minimum, the Public House needs acoustic tiles on the ceiling and carpeting on the bare concrete floor. Acoustic treatment of the walls would be even better. Weather permitting, ask for a table outside on the terrace, or along the entrance hall. Anyplace else puts your hearing at risk. I don't like leaving a negative review, especially for a new restaurant, but I will not return until something is done to reduce the noise. I am a local, and live about 5 miles away.

We made reservations for 6 New Years Eve. We talked to them about the special which was Prime rib. We got there early( 5:30) and was told to wait in the lobby area. The people with us was treated so rude by the waitress behind the bar. Then when we were seated the waiter told us they ran out of Prime Rib 30 min earlier. News years Eve at 5:30 they ran out. I just couldn't believe it. I wanted to leave. We ended up eating meatloaf. It was good but not what we wanted. The waiter was really nice but overwhelmed. He kept forgetting our drinks. Just not a good experience. We will not go back. This definitely was not well planned by the manager being a holiday especially since there were empty tables. The hostess made excuses from the beginning, then the bartender and the the waiter. Like I said we will not go back.
